THEME
Printmaking is defined as an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography, while modern artists have expanded available techniques to include monotype and screen-printing. Regardless of the complexity or simplicity of the process used, the artist experiences the surprise and joy when the print is revealed or pulled from the plate.
