Like an annoying child, I have been bugging our Chief Strategist Cory for our updated numbers relentlessly since the 2022 midterms. I try to ask in funny ways to make it less annoying. (I feel I succeed! Others disagree.) Thankfully, Cory has been incredibly patient with me.This Tuesday 4/25 at 5pm, the long wait is over. WE ARE THERE.

All 50 Secretaries of State have updated their voter rolls…

Field Team 6 has completed the arduous process of comparing those rolls to our outreach database…

And BOY OH BOY, have we got a juicy crop of numbers for you!

We’ll reveal the number of Democrats we helped register in the 2022 cycle.

You’ll learn our new voter total since we started in 2019.

We’ll release our updated cost per voter in the ‘22 cycle.

We’ll share the results of a rigorous statistical study we did to measure and quantify our effectiveness more accurately than ever. We believe it to be the largest voter registration study ever conducted. You may need to read that again to digest it. I did.

We’ll unveil our breathtaking goals for this cycle – and how, with your help, we can WIN IT ALL in ‘24.

And as if that weren’t enough? The strategy briefing is called “Wait, Wait, DO Tell Me!” because the phenomenal super-podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen will kick off the event with our own hilarious parody of the classic NPR staple.

We’re still celebrating Judge Janet’s blistering win in the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Brandon Johnson’s upset win as Mayor of Chicago, and the reinstatement of Justins Pearson and Jones to the Tennessee House.

And—as if in answer to Justin Pearson's declaration that "You can't expel hope!"—the karma wheel has spun out a few new celebration-worthy items:

• Disgraced con man Donald Trump has lost another half dozen legal rulings in the numerous ongoing cases that are about to rip his world apart
• Cook Political Report just moved California’s swing 27th congressional district from Lean Republican to Toss Up due to the strength of Democratic candidate (and former Chief of Staff of NASA) George Whitesides
  
• Increasingly blue Michigan's Democratic trifecta has passed common sense gun laws, enshrined LGBTQ+ rights in the state’s anti-discrimination protections, enacted a Working Families Tax Credit, and repealed the state's archaic 1931 abortion ban.

Pennsylvania is one of the most important swing states in the country. And Democrats have a one-seat majority in the Pennsylvania State House. We need to defend that majority by re-electing Democrat Heather Boyd to House District 163 in the special election this May 16!

It is that Democratic majority in the PA State House that ensured Republicans could not pass an abortion ban. Let's hold the line!

Look, see... We didn't have Tennessee on our already large list of target states for the 2024 cycle, but we also didn't have fascist expulsion of duly elected Tennessee House Reps for the indecorous audacity to represent their constituents on our bingo card either.

The Tennessee Three inspired a nation, and us... so we've done a deep research dive and identified four swing state house districts in Tennessee. 2 are repped by Democrats: we can keep them there. The other 2 are repped by Republicans: we can flip them. We'll also be registering new Democrats in the districts of The Tennessee Three, to lean into the movement those House Reps are leading so passionately.

SAVE DEMOCRACY WITH FRIENDS!

Are you vaxxed, maxxed (on your love of democracy) and ready to roll? Then Field Team 6 and Civic Sundays have just the thing for you: fun, in-person events to save our nation!

Civic Sundays LA is now meeting in person on Sunday mornings at private locations in the Silverlake/Los Feliz/Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles. There are always multiple ways you can get involved in supporting progressive candidates up and down the ballot, locally and nationwide. Phonebanking, textbanking, postcarding and digital letter writing will be among the offerings—and you get to do it in person with your new friends!

Now that we’ve secured big wins in Wisconsin & Chicago, we turn our attention immediately to Ohio—which is critical this year AND next! By November 2023, we need to register enough Democrats to pass an amendment cementing abortion rights in the state constitution. And in 2024, in order to keep our Senate majority, we need to re-elect Sherrod Brown, one of our most vulnerable (and best) senators!
