STUDENT SUCCESS SKILLS INVENTORY

The Student Success Skills Inventory is used to measure student growth across Student Success Skill standards as a result of ReThink Ed lessons. Students complete the inventory by indicating if they almost always, always, sometimes, or never apply the skills being taught in the areas of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Competence, Collaborative Problem Solving, Reflective Learning Strategies, and Sense of Belonging. The SSS Inventory is about 15-20 item and administered to students in the Fall and Spring. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. Students complete the SSS Inventory using the Illuminate platform.

The Spring Inventory Administration will take place the week of April 17, 2023 – April 21, 2023 during the designated Student Success Skills time in our Advisement period.

If you have any questions about the SSS Inventory, please contact Milton's Student Success Skills Champion, Rebecca DeWeese at deweese@fultonschools.org).

Parents can choose to opt their student out of the inventory. To opt out, parents should submit a written request with "SSS Inventory Opt Out" as the email header to Principal Jones (jonesbc@fultonschools.org).

TRACK & FIELD

The Milton track & field teams took on three away meets at the beginning of spring break and had very successful results with many personal bests and top-10 all-time Milton marks achieved.

Florida Relays (3/31-4/1)

Senior captain Devin Dahunsi competed in the triple jump (3rd-44’8.5”) & long jump (11th-21’2.75”) where his effort in the triple jump was good for 3rd place in this very prestigious meet in Gainesville, FL. Junior Zach Patell (11th-1:56.13) ran to a big personal best in the 800m to win his heat and become the 5th best performer in school history running the fastest time for Milton in the 800m since 2017.

Woodstock Distance Carnival (3/31)

Junior Ella Grace Malcom had the biggest meet here for the Eagles with her runner-up in the 3200m (2nd-12:23.74) in only her 2nd time running the event & topped that with an overall win (1st-2:17.13) in the 800m by close to 5-seconds making her the 3rd best performer in Milton school history! Sophomore Justin Sevel (4th-4:41.48) led the boys team effort with his personal best in the 1600m. The Lady Eagles finished 3rd as a team (22pts) & the boy’s team was 6th (13pts) out of 8 scoring schools.

Marietta Spring Break Showdown (4/1)

One of this season’s biggest meets yielded a strong showing from the distance team members that competed. Senior & George Washington Univ commit Cory Chambers lowered his best in the 1600m (4th-4:16.91) for 4th place and the only team points of the meet. Chambers effort moves him to the 4th-best performer in Milton high school history! Chambers also finished 10th in the 800m (2:00.31) in a personal best. Fellow senior & captain Pearson Gillam (28th-4:39.91) & senior Jack Rea (36th-4:43.68) also recorded personal bests in the 1600m.
