Mark your Calendars! Wednesday, November 16 is the Annual Senior Class Service Day. Our MHS Senior Class will be volunteering at over 20+ locations throughout our community. This wonderful day of service can only come together with the commitment from our students and parents. In addition to the Senior student involvement, we will need parent volunteers to help with check-in and chaperoning.

9th & 10th INFORMATION NIGHT | |
The Milton Counseling Department will hold a 9th and 10th Grade Information Night on Tuesday, November 29 from 6:00-8:00pm. 9th and 10th Grade Parents/Guardians are highly encouraged to attend the IN-PERSON presentation that will be held in the Auditorium. Counselors will review topics such as:

- Graduation Requirements
- 4-Year Planning
- Financial Aid Basics
- HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship
- HOPE Rigor Requirements

The Milton Chorus Program presents “La Vie Bohème,” a night of musical theatre songs sung by our very own Chorus students. Come enjoy a variety of songs presented in a cabaret style and support your friends and the Chorus program. All proceeds go towards the Chorus scholarship so you can feel good having a good time!
Performance is on Nov 17 at 7:00PM in the Milton Theater.
Tickets are $10-$15 at: https://miltonchorus.booktix.com/ and available at the door the night of the show.

SCHEDULE CHANGES FOR SPRING | |
We will have a schedule change request period from November 28-December 9. The form will be PAPER with limited parameters and available for pickup in the counseling suites 1340/1360 on Monday, November 28. Please keep in mind that we DO NOT accept schedule change requests via phone, email, or walk-in.
All change requests are due by December 9 in order to update student schedules before we leave for holiday break. Any questions or concerns should be directed to your student's assigned counselor. Thank you, MHS Counseling

Milton's School Governance Council (SGC) will have their next meeting on Monday, November 28 at 7:15AM. Members of the public are welcome to attend SGC meetings and can provide feedback and commentary to the council at meetings with scheduled Public Comment opportunities or by emailing members of the council at their FCS email addresses available on the school’s SGC website.

ROBOTICS
Congrats to the Milton HS robotics team this past weekend. The Robotic Eagles competed in their second meet of the season, and scored a Georgia state record of 178 points with no penalties. Great job repping the M Robotic Eagles.
They’re looking forward to competing this season and hosting the regional tournament at Milton HS in January. If you’re interested in joining the team or want to volunteer, please email roboticeaglesmilton@gmail.com. No prior experience required.

THEATRE
On October 26, Milton Theatre presented “Head over Heels” at the GHSA Region 6-7A One Act Competition. Cast and crew did a wonderful job, but the following students received special recognition:
Malone McMichael won Best Supporting Actor award.
Gage Magosin and Ava Chen both were selected for the All-Star cast.

HELP NEEDED FOR DECORATING
Looking to clean out some of your holiday decor? PTO is planning to decorate the front entrance atrium and we are looking for donations. If you have small items such as stockings, tinsel, garland, ornaments, etc., please drop them at the front office before Friday, 12/2. If you are able to donate larger items such as artificial trees and wreaths, email us at miltoneaglespto@gmail.com, and we will arrange to get them from you. Help us to transform the front atrium into a winter wonderland for our students!

What: A “Fall Themed” Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Who: 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students at Milton High School
When/Where: Pumpkins should be decorated at home and presented in the MHS Garden on November 15 between 7:45 - 9:15AM. (The garden is located outside between the MHS gym and 5200 hallway.) Pumpkins will be displayed for viewing on November 15 & 16. The winners will be announced November 17 during advisement.
Grand prize:

TRACK & FIELD PRESEASON CONDITIONING | |
Preseason track and field conditioning has started. If you interested in joining the track and field team, please make sure you have completed the following task prior to attending a training session. Training sessions (dates/times below) are for those athletes currently not participating in any other sport.

Preseason conditioning: Preseason conditioning is highly encouraged for those athletes not currently participating in another sport during training sessions. Athletes will meet on the track near the football field house. What to bring? Water. What to wear? Athletic clothing and appropriate running shoes (not basketball, casual, or skateboard shoes).
Focus of preseason training:
- Teach, review, and perfect proper warm up habits that train proper running mechanics.
- Endurance training.
- Strength training.
Athletes that participate in preseason training greatly reduce their chances to develop injuries related to running once the season starts
Training session will start at 6:15 pm and end at 7:15 pm.
Phase 1: Consist of 3 training sessions a week.
Dates: Nov. 14, 15, and 16.
Phase 2: Consist of 4 training sessions a week.
Dates: Nov. 28, 29, 30, Dec. 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, and 15.

Vehicles that are not parked in their assigned lots are subject to being towed. Vehicles will also be towed for the following:

- Parking on the curb of any lot
