Residents of Fulton County are assigned to a school attendance zone based on their residential address. When new schools or additional classroom capacity are added in a region, or imbalances of enrollment and capacity exist, the Board may direct staff to review attendance boundaries for modifications. This process of revising attendance boundaries is called redistricting.
Each time a redistricting effort is under way, the school system holds three rounds of meetings to gather information needed to draft a redistricting proposal that best meets the community's needs. Unlike other school systems, Fulton uses a process that encourages public discussion before developing a proposal. This allows the community to have maximum input in how the proposed attendance lines are created.
There are 3 meetings scheduled for North Fulton:
Round One
September 12, 2022 (6:00 to 8:00 P.M.) at Alpharetta High School
Round Two
October 3, 2022 (6:00 to 8:00 P.M.) at Alpharetta High School
Round Three
October 18, 2022 (6:00 to 8:00 P.M.) at Alpharetta High School
Final Recommendations; First Read - November 8
Final Action: December 15

Congratulations to the 2022 Georgia Department of Education Georgia Seal of Biliteracy recipients!
Georgia’s Seal of Biliteracy is based on evidence of students achieving the required level of language proficiency in English plus one or more other languages during their high school years. To obtain this Seal, students must demonstrate the determined level of proficiency in English, as well as one or more additional languages, be that language a native language, a heritage language, or a language learned in school or another setting. Some components for Georgia’s Seal of Biliteracy may be completed prior to high school for some students (as with dual language immersion programs, English learners, and other populations). The focus is on achieving the level of proficiency required for English and the level of proficiency required for one or more other languages. These fine Milton scholars have earned the 2022 Georgia Seal of Biliteracy!
French: Kilian Grund
Latin: Maxym Shtyrbulov
Spanish: Sarayu Ponnade, Leela Ravoori, Isabella Szabo
Kudos to these exemplars of language learning for “Repping the M” and maintaining Milton’s fine tradition of academic excellence!
