REGISTRATION TIMELINE FOR 2023-2024 SY

Registration Timeline for 2023-2024 SY

As shared in the Registration 101 Sessions and on the Eagle Update, the expected registration timeline is as follows:

  • Week of January 30-February 3: Students will be making ELECTIVE selections in Advisement
  • Monday, February 6: Students will receive Verification Form #1 (free for all changes!)
  • Tuesday, February 14: Verification Form #1 is DUE (this is the end of free for all changes)
  • Monday, February 20: Students will receive Verification Form #2 (limited number of changes allowed)
  • Friday, February 24: Verification Form #2 is DUE (Form #2 is the last opportunity to indicate you want an online course in your schedule for the 2023-2024 school year)

Course selections during registration are considered FINAL. There are limited to no opportunities for additional changes beyond these deadlines. Students are advised to use the time allotted to make educated decisions; turning in the Verification Form faster does not mean you have a better chance of getting your desired schedule

In lieu of scheduling individual academic advisement appointments, counselors will be available in the Media Center for STUDENT walk-ins on the afternoon of February 6, all-day February 8, and all-day February 10. This will allow students to come by and ask any questions related to courses and registration without needing an appointment

CERTAMEN

Milton's Certamen Team Dominates at Marist's JanusFest Tournament

Congratulations to the Milton High School Percussion Ensemble! The group was one of only two groups of this type from the state of Georgia invited to perform at this year's state music education conference in Athens! Milton holds the distinction of being the only school in the state to have a group selected to perform each of the past four events (2019: MHS Chorale, 2020: MHS Wind Ensemble, 2022: MHS Orchestra)

JUNIOR VARSITY WINTERGUARD

Congratulations to the Milton Junior Varsity Winterguard for placing 5th in the Novice class. They debuted their show, Follow Your Rainbow . Congratulations also to the Milton Varsity Winterguard for placing 3rd in the Scholastic National-A class. Both groups competed at the SAPA competition held at Cass High School Saturday.

ROBOTICS

This past weekend, the Robotics Team competed in & hosted the Western GA League tournament at Milton High School. With over 500+ people in attendance, the Robotic Eagles put up a tremendous fight, from phenomenal strategy to competing with strong alliances.

The Robotic Eagles ranked 2nd place in the league, winning the semifinals, and advancing to the State Championships. They have even received numerous award for their accomplishments & international outreach such as: 2nd Place Inspire Award, Finalist Alliance - 1st Team Selected, & The Connect Award!

Great job repping the M Eagles! And good luck at State Champs! Looking forward to a three time World Champ title in April.

We would also like to thank Mr. Brian Jones, Ms. Courtney Casey, Mr. David Yang, numerous parents, and volunteers for assisting in the logistics of making this event a reality!

WILL TO LIVE FOUNDATION

The Will To Live Foundation, a Johns Creek based 501(c)(3) non-profit is beginning it’s 13th year! John and Susie Trautwein with the help of the kids at Northview High School, founded the foundation in October of 2010 after Will Trautwein, a 15 year old freshman at Northview, lost his life to depression and suicide. The foundation’s mission has always been to raise the awareness of teen suicide in our communities. John Trautwein has given motivational speeches throughout our school system, about the power of Life Teammates in our lives to help create a culture where it is “Okay to not be Okay” and talk about it – with a goal of erasing the stigma of mental illness.

5K RUN INFO

The Where There’s A Will There’s a Way 5K - a fun run for hope is the signature event of the foundation, and it’s 13th running will be held this coming February 4 in Johns Creek at River Trail Middle School / Shakerag park (as it has in the past).  The money raised by this event has not only funded the implementation of the Signs of Suicide (SOS) program in every public school in Fulton and Cobb county, but in high schools all over the country. Here is the webpage for the event if you need more information.   https://will-to-live.org/willsway5k23/
