FOR DECISION MAKERS WHO CHAMPION BUSINESS

|
Dear Friend,
Welcome to this latest edition of the Altix Access newsletter where we delve into the dynamic world of international business exploring key topics that drive change and success in today's global marketplace.
As a co-founder of the first European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC Cincinnati) in the United States in 2007, and co-founder of Altix Consulting, my career has been dedicated to empowering companies to thrive internationally. Drawing from my extensive experience and passion for cultural understanding, I have cultivated a vast business network spanning both sides of the Atlantic and contributing to the exceptional expertise and resources of the Altix team across industries and geographies in North America, Europe, and Asia.
We dedicate this newsletter to the resilient business leaders and owners who fearlessly navigate a tumultuous and challenging world. Their unwavering drive for excellence is truly inspiring, as they contribute the best technologies and practices to a rapidly global landscape.
We are honored to feature Torsten Kuehnel, a prominent figure in Siemens Large Drive North America, in the Industry Champion Interview. Furthermore, we shed light on the indispensable role of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues for long-term success, as outlined in Yannick Schilly's article, "The Case for Sustainability in Business." The long-term success of organizations relies on their ability to adapt, improve, and remain competitive. Understanding that change is a complex process, Andrea Ziomek explores the crucial role of communication as the engine that drives change management.
At Altix, we recognize that leadership permeates every level of an organization, from the top floor to frontline leaders. We are privileged to collaborate with exceptional companies that invest in the growth and success of their people, offering customized and public leadership training programs through the Altix Academy. We take pride in showcasing the Altix Operations Leaders Circle of Excellence and extend our congratulations to the 2022-2023 cohort for their dedication and successful completion of the 9-month / 9-factories program.
Please read on and we hope you find this edition enjoyable and valuable. Thank you!

THE CASE FOR SUSTAINABILITY IN BUSINESS
|
|
In his recent article, Altix CEO Yannick Schilly highlights why companies who hold off on implementing sustainability practices will lose out in the long run.
While the importance of corporate sustainability cannot be emphasized enough here in the US and worldwide, it has been a focal point in Europe much longer and is crucial to long term success. We encourage you to contemplate the challenges and opportunities that arise when adopting sustainability practices.

EACC Greater Cincinnati Delegation Enhances International Business Relations in France
In a dynamic global business environment, the European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) Cincinnati is actively strengthening international business relations. Anne Cappel, co-founder and CMO of Altix, had the privilege of co-leading a significant economic development delegation to France. The delegation's primary objectives were to foster a deeper understanding of France's unique culture, enhance the visibility of Cincinnati as an attractive destination for US subsidiaries of French companies, and build successful business relationships with the second-largest economy in the European Union.
During the delegation's journey, fruitful engagements took place across France, with a focus on connecting Cincinnati, Paris, and Lyon. The delegation embarked on a productive exploration, starting with the historic region of Normandy and paying tribute to the Franco-American World War II history at the American Cemetery in Omaha Beach. The delegation then moved to the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, specifically Lyon, known as an economic powerhouse second only to Paris. Collaborating with the EACC Lyon and esteemed entities such as Business France and the CCIs of the region, the delegation exchanged knowledge and insights, fostering potential collaborations between Lyon and Cincinnati. The delegation also organized a seminar on "Doing Business in the US," where valuable insights and connections were shared with over 50 participating companies seeking to expand their presence in the USA. The trip concluded with two remarkable events in Paris. The Business France “Doing Business in USA” seminar was hosted at the residence of the US Ambassador to France, and a VIP cocktail reception was organized by EACC Paris at the prestigious Cercle de l’Union Interalliée.
Through their dedication and collaboration, EACC Greater Cincinnati and Anne Cappel continue to play a pivotal role in promoting international business opportunities and strengthening the transatlantic network between Cincinnati and key economic centers in France.
