ALZA Strategies Launches New Website and Expands Team

ALZA Strategies has launched a new firm website https://www.alzamedia.com/ and is proud to announce the promotion of Olivia Askins to Account Manager. In addition, Julia Mariano has joined ALZA Strategies as an Associate.
Olivia Askinsjoined ALZA Strategies in 2019. She helps to manage client accounts and firm operations, and also supports the firm’s external marketing and supervises other staff. Olivia develops and writes the monthly La Voz del Campo newsletter informing migrant and seasonal farmworkers in California of their rights and resources. She previously served as the Editor of the Consumnes River College Political Science Department journal, Globus Mundi and worked in administrative coordination and customer service for a variety of companies, including Signature Law Group and SING, Inc. Olivia earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from University of California, Davis. In her spare time, Olivia fulfills a creative and entrepreneurial streak as a small business owner and singing instructor.
Julia Mariano is an Associate at ALZA Strategies. Julia is also a Student Ambassador for Sacramento State University in Admissions and Outreach office, and was a Political Science student mentor in Sacramento State’s Peer Academic Resource Center. Julia was previously a Legislative Assistant for Assemblymember Jim Cooper, where she specialized in constituent services, research, and drafting resolutions. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Julia is currently the Executive Director and founder of the Reform Revolution Project, which is an organization that is pushing to create an accessible social justice education curriculum. Julia specializes in online communication and is enrolled in the UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education program in Digital Marketing.
ALZA Strategies is led by Roger Salazar, who founded the firm, and Hilary McLean who joined as a partner in 2019. The two have decades of experience working in the realm of high-level, high-stakes public affairs.
