About the Conference
The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac) present AMAC’s 2018 34th Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference: Inspiring Possibilities at the Westin Seattle from August 21 - 25, 2018.

AMAC's Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference continues to bring together nearly 1,000 businesses, aviation professionals, government officials and individuals from around the country to discuss a variety of subjects ranging from how to do business at airports to public policy issues impacting the entire aviation industry. This highly acclaimed conference is the premier aviation industry event of the year – serving as a hub for education, advocacy and networking opportunities that promote diversity and inclusion in airports.
Meet the Chairs
Shannetta Griffin
National Conference Chair, Columbus Regional Airport Authority

Shannetta Griffin, P.E., is the Chief Development Officer of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CAA). Ms. Griffin oversees the Development division which manages the planning, design and construction of all facilities at the John Glenn International, Rickenbacker International and Bolton Field airports owned and operated by CRAA.
Dawn Hunter
Local Conference Chair,
Port of Seattle

As Senior Manager, Airport Dining and Retail for the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Ms. Hunter maximizes non-aeronautical revenue; providing an exceptional customer experience for the travelling public; ensuring quality operations of existing businesses; and supporting through the development of new leasing opportunities.
Luis Navarro
Local Conference Chair,
Port of Seattle

Luis Navarro is Director of Social Responsibility for the Port of Seattle. Previously, he worked in aviation for more than 25 years in finance, real estate and procurement, working for domestic and international airlines in Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, Mexico and the US, and as real estate manager at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Major General Harold “Mitch” Mitchell is Deputy Inspector General of the Air Force, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force. He assists the Inspector General in the performance of all responsibilities of the Office of the Inspector General. 
Rexy Rolle
Western Air

Sherrexcia “Rexy” Rolle serves as Vice President of Operations & General Counsel at Western Air, the largest privately-owned airline in The Bahamas. At 29 years old, Rolle has already made waves by expanding her family’s airline business.

Professional Training

Day 1 – DBE/ACDBE Certifiers Training covers ins and outs of DBE and ACDBE certification, including details of applying basic requirements of group membership, ownership, control, independence, site visits, the denial letter, etc., and expanded financial analysis (PNW, tax forms, business structures, case studies).

Day 2 – DBE/ACDBE Program Administrators and Procurement Professionals Training, covers all the detailed essentials of 49 CFR Part 26 and Part 23 needed by the hands-on Program Administrator, from understanding the administrative plan document, goal-setting, good faith efforts reviews, contract assurances, DBE/ACDBE reports, monitoring, concessions cash flow, and joint venture reviews.

When registering you may choose to register ONLY for the pre-conference training (1 or 2 days). This training serves DBELOs, certifiers and other professionals working within the field of DBE program administration.
