AMC THEATRE CEO SUPPORTS ELLISON’S PURCHASE OF WARNER BROS.
Adam Aron, head of AMC, has come out with the controversial statement that he supports Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison’s purchase of Warner Bros. As celebrities, distributors, and even unions try to stop the merger, Aron says, “It is time for AMC to make known our favorable view about Paramount’s desire to acquire Warner.” This issue continues to be dramatic and divisive, so let’s pray that the Lord will intervene and do what He knows is best for our industry and the viewers. We need His hand on this decision so let’s invite Him into the equation.

GRETA GERWIG & THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA
Greta Gerwig is directing and writing at least two film adaptations of C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix. The Magician's Nephew will be the first film released as a global theatrical and on IMAX on February 12, 2027. It will then stream on Netflix on April 2, 2027. HPN is excited because the film is overseen by Netflix Film Chairman Dan Lin, who is an HPN member and friend. Let’s pray for Dan, Greta and that C.S. Lewis’ faith shines through the heart of the film. What a privilege we have to pray for them!

“HIGH CLASS” OPENED THIS WEEK
Exodus Cry just produced and released a powerful documentary film on YouTube about the horrors of Sex Trafficking in Las Vegas. We want HPN members to be aware of High Class, about this modern slavery in our country. And then pray for the predators and the victims of sex trafficking. Your voice really makes a difference. Storytelling is the most powerful way to show truth to global audiences, so be a part of this movement of exposing truth in our world through film. Our prayers will then make an eternal difference. ISUMMER EVENTS IN LOS ANGELES
We would love for you to join us in praying for the world's most influential city, Los Angeles, the City of Angels, or as many in the Church have called it, the "City of Orphans". Celebrity performers from all over the world come to our city and this summer we ask that you pray for the hearts and lives of the performers, the audiences, the cast and crews and that they all get touched by the unconditional love of God while they are in our city. Also, pray that Christians in LA will share their faith to all of these culture-changers with the love of Jesus. Here is the Calendar of Events in Los Angeles.

BACKROOMS & OBSESSION ARE BREAKING BOX OFFICE RECORDS
There is a film phenomenon happening at the box office with two low budget horror films drawing more attention than the newly released Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. HPN doesn’t endorse these films, but we do want all of you to pray for them. Since horror films are a controversial topic amongst Christians, would you ask the Lord to reveal the truth of good versus evil to everyone involved in the film and to all who see them. It’s a genre that draws in young people all over the world and so our prayers will make a difference.

TOY STORY 5 STARS TALK ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FILM’S THEME
Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear) leads the conversation about the importance of personal engagement for young people, versus spending hours on their phones and tablets, as the cast promotes the opening of Toy Story 5 in the UK. Toy Story 5 is about eight-year-old Bonnie getting her first device and how it impacts her toys! Again, we see how storytelling can get universal messages, themes and topics to audiences in theaters across the planet. Let’s pray that this film will resonate with kids and families and it can lead people to healthier personal relationships. Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack join Tom Hanks in talking to children about the film, which comes out on June 19th.

The word rest is used throughout scripture to show God’s love, peace and comfort. God is very strong and very clear on wanting us to have a day of rest. He commands us to observe the Sabbath and He even tells us that His Holy Spirit rests on us. How good are you at resting?

Guests will enjoy a glamorous 1920s-inspired evening featuring live jazz, a gourmet dinner, inspiring testimonies, and a lively dance party to close the night. Together, we will celebrate the stories of hope, transformation, and Kingdom impact that have emerged through prayer for Hollywood and the global Christian creative community.

The 7-Week Course is our introductory level faith + work offering here at the Center for Faith + Work Los Angeles. This cross-vocational course will focus on biblically based topics to gain insight concerning God's intention for our work. Together, we will explore what it means to integrate our faith and work in meaningful ways, challenge the idols and cultural narratives we face, and address the brokenness of our vocational worlds. We will be utilizing spiritual practices and group discussion in community.

HARD FAITH FILM FESTIVAL

Hard Faith Fest is a four-day Christian film festival bringing together filmmakers, actors, writers, artists, churches, ministries, students, families, and audiences for films, panels, conversations, and community. This is our fourth year, and Hard Faith is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on redemptive storytelling through film. We are also the only Christian film festival in LA, and our heart is to create a space where honest, meaningful stories can point people toward truth, hope, and redemption.
