A RECAP OF 2025

Letter from the chairs

A Message from the AMCA Young Professionals Committee Chairs

Nicole (Past Chair), CC (Chair), and Vilma (Co-Chair)

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude and excitement for what is to come. This year has been full of collaboration, learning, and meaningful progress for our AMCA Young Professionals community. We’re especially grateful to our new committee members—welcome to the team! Your energy, ideas, and dedication continue to strengthen our network and advance the mission of mosquito and vector control across disciplines and regions.

Our time together at the AMCA Annual Meeting in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico, was a true highlight. From the engaging workshop and symposium to the lively YP networking events, it was inspiring to see so many emerging and established professionals come together with shared purpose and passion.

As we head into the holiday season, we want to congratulate each of you for your perseverance, achievements, and continued commitment to protecting public health, especially during challenging times. Your work matters deeply, and we’re proud to be part of such a driven and compassionate community.

Thank you for all that you do, and we can’t wait to see you at the AMCA 2026 Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon!

With appreciation and warm wishes,

Nicole, CC, and Vilma
