Unity Day featured on News12

'Unity Day' at Ossining middle school highlights the topic of bullying, building friendships

Students at Anne M. Dorner Middle School in Ossining held "Unity Day" on Thursday to raise awareness of bullying.

The day coincided with the fact that October is National Bully Prevention Month. "Unity Day" also encouraged all students to come together and engage in an open dialogue about bullying.

On October 20th, Anne M. Dorner Middle School continued its tradition of taking part in Unity Day. Staff and students made a commitment to the cause by signing the No Place for Hate pledge.

Attention 7th and 8th-grade student-athletes:

If you are interested in participating in a winter season Junior Varsity (JV) or Varsity Ossining sports team you are required to complete and pass the athletic placement test. The sports in the winter season are; Boy's Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Boy's Swimming, Wrestling, Indoor Track, Ice Hockey, and Cheerleading. This test is a physical fitness test that will be running on Tuesday, October 25th, 26th, and 27th in the AMD gym at 3:00. This is only for student-athletes who would want to try out for a JV or Varsity level sport. THIS IS NOT FOR MODIFIED SPORTS. If you are interested in taking the test and signing up for one of these sports please fill out this form. Students will be able to take the afterschool busses home.
