Hey everyone! Dr. Nover here! Happy Friday!

Last night, we held our first family reading night. It was a wonderful event! A huge shout out to the 6th-grade student council for all their hard work planning this experience. We look forward to hosting another family reading night next year! 

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone for their patience this week as we navigated the midterms at AMD. The schedule change allowed us to ensure we had the appropriate space to assess all students. I am incredibly grateful to all families for their patience during pick-up. I quickly learned that it is challenging to stage arrival and dismissal at the same time! We will work on a more strategic plan to minimize traffic should we have a similar schedule in the future. 

Today marks the end of the second quarter! It is hard to believe that we have hit the year's midpoint. Please ensure that you continue to review our school-wide expectations with your student leaders so we can have a great year! With field trips coming up this spring, we want everyone to be able to participate in these experiences! Report cards will be available on the portal next Friday.

Next week we will begin our NWEA assessments. I am looking forward to seeing all of our students’ growth and achievement! We will again honor the top growth and achievement in all subject areas!

¡Hola a todos! ¡Aquí el Dr. Nover! ¡Feliz viernes!

Anoche celebramos nuestra primera noche de lectura en familia. ¡Fue un evento maravilloso! Un gran aplauso para el consejo de estudiantes de 6º grado por todo su duro trabajo en la planificación de esta experiencia. Esperamos tener otra noche de lectura familiar el año que viene. 

Quiero extender mi gratitud sincera a todos por su paciencia esta semana mientras navegamos los parciales en AMD. El cambio de horario nos permitió asegurar que teníamos el espacio adecuado para evaluar a todos los estudiantes. Estoy especialmente agradecido a todas las familias por su paciencia durante la recogida. Rápidamente aprendí que es un reto organizar la llegada y la salida al mismo tiempo. Trabajaremos en un plan más estratégico para minimizar el tráfico si tenemos un horario similar en el futuro. 

Hoy termina el segundo trimestre. Parece mentira que hayamos llegado a la mitad del año. ¡Por favor, asegúrese de seguir revisando nuestras expectativas de toda la escuela con sus líderes estudiantiles para que podamos seguir teniendo un gran año! Con las excursiones que vienen esta primavera, queremos que todos puedan participar en estas experiencias. Las boletas de calificaciones estarán disponibles en el portal el próximo viernes.

La próxima semana comenzaremos nuestras evaluaciones NWEA. Tengo muchas ganas de ver el crecimiento y los logros de todos nuestros estudiantes. Nuevamente honraremos el mayor crecimiento y logro en todas las materias. 

Que tengan un buen fin de semana y que se mantengan calientitos. 

Keeping Emergency Contact Information Current

As shared in previous communications, we request that all families update their child’s emergency information, including updated names and phone numbers of family members or friends authorized to pick up your child in your absence.  Our policy is that any person picking up a student must be at least 16 years of age and must show ID to our school staff.  

Below are the steps to take when changing information in Infinite Campus:

1. Log on and select your child’s name.
2. Click on the top left corner and hit the three lines.
3. Hit MORE, and you will see that DEMOGRAPHICS appears. 
4. Hit on demographics, and you can then update your child’s information. 
5. You will receive a message informing you that the information is being reviewed.
6. The District registration clerk will approve the changes. 

Please note that you can only update the following information: email addresses, phone numbers, and non-household contacts. The change of home address must be completed at central registration.

Mantenimiento de la información de contacto en caso de emergencia

Como se ha compartido en comunicaciones anteriores, solicitamos que todas las familias actualicen la información de emergencia de sus hijos, incluidos los nombres y números de teléfono actualizados de los familiares o amigos autorizados para recoger a su hijo en su ausencia. Nuestra política es que cualquier persona que recoja a un estudiante debe tener al menos 16 años de edad y debe mostrar una identificación a nuestro personal de la escuela.  

A continuación se indican los pasos a seguir para cambiar la información en Infinite Campus:

Inicie sesión y seleccione el nombre de su hijo.

Haga clic en la esquina superior izquierda y pulse las tres líneas.

Pulse en MORE, y verá que aparece DEMOGRAPHICS. 

Pulse en demografía y podrá actualizar los datos de su hijo. 

Recibirá un mensaje informándole de que se está revisando la información.

El encargado de inscripciones del distrito aprobará los cambios. 

Tenga en cuenta que sólo puede actualizar la siguiente información: direcciones de correo electrónico, números de teléfono y contactos no domiciliarios. El cambio de domicilio debe realizarse en el registro central.
