Hey everyone! Dr. Nover here. Happy Friday! 

Our year is off to an incredible start! Our students are engaged in deep thinking! As I walked around classrooms, I spotted students engaged in independent reading, examining scientific phenomena, and listening to soft music while engaged in independent work. It feels so good to be back at AMD! 

This week, we held our first successful fire drill! The students and staff did an incredible job! We will have another fire drill next week to ensure that our students understand their evacuation locations in the event of an emergency. 

I do want to share that the Ossining School District greatly appreciates the Village's support of the School Resource Office (SRO) program.  Currently, the Police Department is experiencing changes in staffing levels that have necessitated a temporary shift in SRO services.  As a result, the district has hired more security staff to address our needs during this period. We thank the Chief and the Village for their continued support. And we have an amazing team of security staff onsite! 

Next week, I will be out Wednesday through Friday to spend time with my family after the passing of my mother-in-law. I want to reiterate my sincere gratitude for your love and support. Other district administrators will be on-site supporting our building team.

¡Hola a todos! Dr. Nover aquí. ¡Feliz viernes! 

Nuestro año ha tenido un comienzo increíble. ¡Nuestros estudiantes están comprometidos en el pensamiento profundo! Mientras caminaba por las aulas, vi a los estudiantes que participan en la lectura independiente, el examen de los fenómenos científicos, y escuchar música suave, mientras que participan en el trabajo independiente. ¡Se siente tan bien estar de vuelta en AMD! 

¡Esta semana, tuvimos nuestro primer simulacro de incendio con éxito! ¡Los estudiantes y el personal hicieron un trabajo increíble! Vamos a tener otro simulacro de incendio la próxima semana para asegurar que nuestros estudiantes entiendan sus lugares de evacuación en caso de una emergencia. 

Quiero compartir que el Distrito Escolar de Ossining aprecia enormemente el apoyo del pueblo del programa de la Oficina de Recursos Escolares (SRO). Actualmente, el Departamento de Policía está experimentando cambios en los niveles de personal que han hecho necesario un cambio temporal en los servicios de SRO. Como resultado, el distrito ha contratado a más personal de seguridad para hacer frente a nuestras necesidades durante este período. Damos las gracias al Jefe y el Pueblo por su continuo apoyo. ¡Y tenemos un equipo increíble de personal de seguridad en el sitio! 

La semana que viene, estaré fuera de miércoles a viernes para pasar tiempo con mi familia tras el fallecimiento de mi suegra. Quiero reiterar mi sincera gratitud por su amor y apoyo. Otros administradores del distrito estarán en el sitio apoyando a nuestro equipo de construcción. 

Por favor acompáñenme el lunes, 16 de septiembre para una hora de café en persona en AMD.
