Mountain Caribou Herd Planning Underway
The Province of B.C. is committed to working collaboratively with the mineral industry to recover identified herds of Southern Mountain Caribou. The Caribou Recovery Program is engaging with AME discuss the herd planning process and potential impacts to the mineral sector. Read more
Canadian Securities Regulators seek New Members for Mining Technical Advisory and Monitoring Committee
The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) is inviting applications for new members to join the Mining Technical Advisory and Monitoring Committee (MTAMC).
The MTAMC is a forum for communication between the CSA and the mining industry, and advises the CSA on a variety of industry and professional developments related to securities regulatory issues. Read more.
BC Mineral Exploration Expenditures Survey Launched
AME is collaborating with EY and the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources on the annual BC Mineral and Coal Exploration Survey. AME thanks the BC Geological Survey for reaching out to project proponents this fall; in the meantime, we encourage members to read the 2019 report.

Free Geoscience BC Minerals Webinar: Golden Triangle Public Data
A free Geoscience BC webinar from 10:00 to 11:00 AM (PDT) Tuesday, September 29, 2020 will show how the mineral exploration sector can collaborate to create a valuable new public dataset in northwest British Columbia’s Golden Triangle, and highlight existing data available in the area. Cordilleran Geoscience 2020 - Virtual Workshop
Originally planned for March 2020, Cordilleran Geoscience 2020 has been rescheduled as a virtual workshop. Devoted to the latest research about the geology, geophysics, metallogeny, and mineral deposits of the Cordillera, the workshop will be held as a Zoom conference on October 5, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:45 pm (PST).
