In response to COVID-19, this is a reminder on the suite of recommendations that AME has put forward to government to support our sector and its workers while we continue to have discussions with government.

Free and Low-Cost Mental Health support

If you are experiencing mental health challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, then you can get help through virtual services. We have a page that includes a comprehensive list of free and low-cost resources.

Post Secondary Student Support

The government has made available Emergency Assistance  for students at public post-secondary institutions. Non-repayable funds can be used to help with a broad range of costs.

Threads of Life - a charity dedicated to supporting families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, life-altering illness or occupational disease will now hold their Steps for Life Vancouver 2020 Walk virtually by way of a social media event all weekend from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3, 2020. You can participate by walk, outdoor activity (when safe to do so) or indoor activity and post your photo or video content with the hashtag # MyWhyMyWay . Read more and G et involved.
