The Final Countdown to IBIE
We are closer than ever to illuminating the Lights Out Bakery.
With just 16 days to go, our teams are finishing preparations for this year's IBIE Trade Show. We will illuminate the Lights Out Bakery, our moonshot vision to strategically transform bakeries through digitalization and automation. Ultimately, we're creating more production efficiencies, better quality control, more accessible knowledge sharing, and higher product yield through a portfolio of digital solutions. By leveraging expert baking knowledge, new quality control methods, and real-time production line information, we're partnering with bakeries to deliver more sustainable, autonomous production lines.
Our Vision Come to Life on the Show Floor
In addition to our local teams working to put final touches on the showcase, our vendor partners are working to ensure our booths represent our vision and messaging. Here is a glimpse of our booths in rendering format.
We look forward to welcoming our guests to experience the Lights Out Bakery and our entire family of brands across our five booth spaces. Goodbye for Now
John Keane
We want to take a moment to thank John Keane for his 26 years of contribution and leadership at AMF. John has been a great teammate and friend to many of us at AMF, especially within AMF Workhorse. He leaves the AMF Workhorse team in highly capable hands as Bryan Didas takes over Engineering and Operations leadership at Workhorse Richmond. The team is poised for an exciting future. As John moves on to new adventures, we wish him the very best and look forward to meeting for burgers at Dot's Back Inn to stay in touch. Please click here to read John's farewell message.
Josh Wrafter
Josh has been an installation and commissioning engineer for AMF since 2018. Josh became an extremely vital teammate on the UK and European teams during his time with us. He was critical in some of our biggest installation jobs at Bimbo, Russia, and Lantmannen, Poland. He has decided to move on to a role that will allow him to work closer to home and spend more time with his wife and young son. We are sad to see josh go, but we wish him the best in his future ambitions.
AMF Sherbrooke Extracurricular Success
Karate Championships
Léa Morin, Daughter of Danny Morin, Vice President of AMF Canada, recently finished fifth place at the Pan American Karate Championships in Mexico City. Her excellent finish, in a division of nearly 25 athletes, won her an opportunity to compete at the World Championships in Turkey at the end of October. The Record, the Sherbrooke daily newspaper, covered the event and spoke with Danny about his pride in his daughters' accomplishments. He stated, "She had to make hard choices because that level of athlete in any sport does not have a full young life as other teenagers have." Best wishes to Lea as she competes in Turkey in October. Ultimate Frisbee
In late spring and early summer, AMF Sherbrooke teammates assembled an ultimate frisbee team to promote getting back in shape and reconnecting with their colleagues. The turnout was successful, and it is something they have decided to continue into the fall.
