California Supply Chain Resilience Survey
The Institute of Applied Research (IAR) at California State University San Bernardino is partnering with the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) in an effort to map California’s Defense Supply Chain for the purpose of identifying the communities, businesses and workers that may be affected by changes in defense spending. The A&D Forum has agreed to help distribute the survey to California-based employers who do business with the U.S. Department of Defense.

AMP SoCal Bi-Annual Meeting focuses on skills gaps, preparing the next workforce
A growing skills gap in the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry was a common theme at the fourth Advanced Manufacturing Partnership for Southern California (AMP SoCal) Bi-Annual Meeting, hosted by the USC Price School’s USC Center for Economic Development (CED) on Sept. 20. The focus was on innovative approaches to manufacturing and business practices that advance today’s supply chain for tomorrow’s opportunities.

AIAA LA-LV Section November Dinner Meeting
B-2 25 Years of Flight Test

This presentation, B-2, 25 Years of Flight Test, was first presented to the Society of Experimental Test Pilots in September of 2016. Still relevant today, the presentation will cover aircraft history from conception through flight test to employment, flight test discoveries, operational accomplishments, fun facts and myths and some lessons learned with an opportunity for Q&A at the close.
