What a great week it’s been to be a Firebird here at Camelback!
What an amazing last week of March and first week back from Spring Break! We really got after it this week with it being our final push to the AASA state assessment, which starts tomorrow! All year we've been talking about being on the Path to "A" Rating and these next two weeks is when it'll be time for our scholars to shine. We want to ensure all of our students are here at school and on time; every minute counts and we can't miss any school, especially during testing this week.
I want to again remind you for a few things you can support us by doing at home as we start to take the tests this week:
- Make sure attendance is a priority and do not schedule any appointments during school.
- Make sure your student is up early and either has breakfast before arriving to school, or gets to school with enough time to get breakfast. Don't forget, we serve breakfast here at the school between 7:30 and 8:00am daily.
- Be sure to get your student to school on time DAILY (or even a little early), especially on testing days. We open the doors at 7:30am and testing will start promptly at 8:15am.
- It is important for your scholar to get a good night's sleep (research says no later than 9:00pm bedtime for school age children).
- Read communication from your child's teacher and school.
- Talk to your child about testing and offer encouragement - a little goes a long way!
The next few weeks will be quiet here at the school with other activities with everyone; teachers, staff and school leadership all focused on getting ready for the tests and tracking data and celebrating our student's hard work.
We're on the path to an "A" rating and it's going to take all of us doing our part each and every day. Together, we can achieve so much!
If you're not already connected with your child's teacher(s) please reach out and get connected with Class Dojo or email and please be sure we have the most up-to-date phone number as well. We need to be working together and the best way to do so is to be connected.
We have so many great things happening every day here at Camelback, the most current information is always on our website, Facebook, Instagram, Class Dojo or in these autodialer messages. #WeAreCamelback
