MESSAGE FROM MS. SULLIVAN

Beginning December 2nd through January 24, 2023, we will be emphasizing the WAVE core value of Accepting Responsibilities. Accepting Responsibility means taking responsibility and being honest for your behaviors.

Students who consistently exemplify the core value of accepting responsibilities will be issued a ticket by their teacher or Team. Students are responsible for writing their names on the tickets and ensuring the ticket(s) are dropped off in the main office in the appropriate raffle box. Raffle prizes and certificates will be distributed in early February.

Abington Middle School Trimester 1 Report Cards are available on the Aspen Parent Portal next Friday, December 9, 2022. Step by step directions for accessing Report Cards online are provided below.

Step By Step Directions

To access your student’s Trimester 1 Report Cards:

  •  Go to the Abington Public Schools website: www.abingtonps.org
  • Select Staff and Parent Portal Logon under Popular Links
  • Enter your student’s Username (Login ID) and Password

*these are the same username and password that your student uses daily to log into school computers on a daily basis

  • Make sure the Pages tab is selected at the top of the screen
  • Find your Report in the Published Reports section on the bottom right of the screen.

Trimester 1 Report Cards represent an important update of your child's academic achievement. It is important to review this report together with your child. If you have questions or concerns, I encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher or teachers for more information.

Have a safe and relaxing weekend.

Nurse News

Please provide the school nurse with an updated physical and immunization form. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the nurse, Joan Smith at (781) 616-2951 or email joansmith@abingtonps.org. State mandated screenings will begin in November.

*Please ensure your child wears appropriate clothing for the changes in temperature/weather. We strive to have PE and recess outside unless it is raining or the "Real Feel" temperature is 20 degrees or below.

NOTES FROM HOME

Parents/Guardians must notify the school if your child is to be absent, tardy or dismissed. A written note must be submitted for each absence stating the date and reason for the absence. A note is also needed to dismiss your child from school or if your child will not be taking the bus home. Phone calls changing student dismissal plans can impact child safety. Thank you for cooperating with this important child safety issue.

A parent/guardian needs to come into the main office to sign their tardy child in if arriving after 8:30 a.m.

LAPTOP REMINDER

Please have your student bring their charged laptop and a water bottle to school every day. (Plastic water bottles please - no glass bottles).
