Message from the Principal

Hello NightHawk Families,

It was such a pleasure getting to welcome all our scholars back from break this week! Our scholars showed great focus on their benchmark Writing and Science exams this week. On our first day of benchmark exams we had 93% average daily attendance, our highest average for the whole week.

Thank you for helping to get your scholar to school on time and ready to learn.

Looking into week 18, 3^rd-8^th grade will be completing our benchmark exams in the areas of English (12/09) and Math (12/12). As a reminder, all scholars who attend each benchmark day will be able to participate in our benchmark celebration on December 20^th.

We invite all our families to join us at our Peter Piper Pizza Night this Thursday, December 12^th. All scholars who bring a friend who does not currently attend AMSG will receive a “Dress Down” pass for the following school day.

I am pleased to announce that we have been selected to lead this year’s Glendale Christmas Hometown Parade. We hope you can join us this upcoming Saturday, December 14^th.

Please join me in recognizing two dedicated, hardworking, and invaluable AMSG Team Members: Flor Leal, Teacher of the Month and Leonela Lemus, Staff Member of the Month. Both individuals were nominated by members of our school community and were selected based on all of their behind-the-scenes effort and their unwavering commitment to putting children first.

Nighthawk Celebrations

Scholar's in Ms. Ferguson's class were eager to participate in fraction review.

Ms. Emerson brought learning outdoors with a "spelling relay".

Scholar's in 3rd-8th grade completed their writing and science benchmark exams this week.

Ms. Martinez brought a special treat for her scholars before their exams.

Ms. Teresa's art class began work on Christmas chains.

Uniforms

Here is a summary of our dress code for the 24-25 school year, all grade levels have the same requirements:

Shirts/Sweaters

Navy blue or maroon, 2-3 button polo shirt with

collar and no logos(except for the school logo).

Pants/Shorts/Skirts/Skorts

Navy Blue or Khaki colored uniform pants, skirts, or shorts.

Shoes

Tennis shoes/dress shoes are encouraged and recommended.

Hola familias de NightHawk:

¡Fue un gran placer darles la bienvenida a todos nuestros estudiantes después de las vacaciones de esta semana! Nuestros estudiantes mostraron un gran enfoque en sus exámenes de referencia de Escritura y Ciencias esta semana. En nuestro primer día de exámenes de referencia tuvimos un promedio de asistencia diaria del 93%, nuestro promedio más alto para toda la semana. Gracias por ayudar a que su estudiante llegue a la escuela a tiempo y listo para aprender.

De cara a la semana 18, los grados 3.º a 8.º completarán nuestros exámenes de referencia en las áreas de inglés (12/09) y matemáticas (12/12). Como recordatorio, todos los estudiantes que asistan a cada día de referencia podrán participar en nuestra celebración de referencia el 20 de diciembre.

Invitamos a todas nuestras familias a unirse a nosotros en nuestra Noche de Pizza Peter Piper este jueves 12 de diciembre. Todos los estudiantes que traigan a un amigo que actualmente no asiste a AMSG recibirán un pase "Dress Down" para el siguiente día escolar.

Celebraciones de Nighthawk
