Hello Nighthawk families,
Thank you all for your incredible engagement in our week 18 community events! Our Peter Piper Pizza Night was filled with fun and laughter. I was able to speak with a few of you that evening who expressed your enjoyment and enthusiasm in being able to connect outside the school. The Christmas Hometown Parade was equally met with excitement. I wanted to take a moment to thank all our volunteers who made this a success. Whether you helped set up the decorations, walked in the parade, or cheered us on from the sidelines, I am grateful to be a part of such a supportive school community. I look forward to future events where we come together.
In addition to our community events, scholars were working hard to show what they know. Our scholars in grades 3rd-8th grade took their Benchmark 2 assessments. During our parent connect phone calls this week, your child’s teacher will be reaching out to share the growth your child has made over the first half of the school year. They will also be sharing some fun activities to keep learning going over the break!
Week 19 will bring a few celebrations before we officially go onto our winter break. First, our PBIS assembly, on Wednesday, December 18th, we will be celebrating scholars who have had 100% attendance and displayed our FIERCE character traits. The following day, Thursday, December 19th, we will be having our Great Skate Night. We invite you to join us and bring a friend for a night of fun. Finally, our 3rd-8th grade scholars who attended all benchmark exams will be able to participate in the Benchmark celebration during the school day on Friday, December 20th.
Our winter break begins on December 21st. The school offices will be closed during the week of December 23rd. We will have modified office hours for the week of December 30th. School resumes on January 6th.
Happy Learning Nighthawks!
