Many Musics Website Launched!

Event Series Begins 1 September

The Many Musics of America event series website has launched! Funded in part by a grant from the National Writing Project, the series will target a wider public and focus on America's musical diversity, providing historical and cultural perspectives on a wide variety of local musics. The series is organized in partnership with volunteers from the Society's 15 regional chapters. The series website includes Music Means, a platform within the project for sharing music studies research with a wider public. The Many Musics of America project will ultimately include 15+ events that will run between September 2022 and March 2023.
