Time to Register for the

2023 Teaching Music History Conference!

The 2023 Teaching Music History Conference, organized by the Society's Pedagogy Study Group, will be held online this June. Sessions will be held over two weeks (June 16, 20–23, and 26–30), scheduled in the afternoon, and last roughly 75 minutes per day. Registration is free and required. The deadline to pre-register is 12 June.

Board and Council Election Ballot Open!


The American Musicological Society is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2023 AMS Board and Council elections. Balloting for Board and Council elections is now open to AMS members and will close 11:59pm ET, 30 May 2023. All current AMS members are urged to register their votes. The winners of this year's Board and Council elections will begin their terms in November 2023 and August 2023, respectively. For more info, visit our Board candidates and Council candidates pages.

Eileen Southern Travel Grants Due 31 May

The Eileen Southern Travel Fund defrays travel costs to the Annual Meeting for minority undergraduates and masters candidates.
