The STINGER|March 2022
A Message from the Principal
Scorpion families,

Happy March! March is a fun time of the year when the temperature starts getting warmer and we enjoy our time with our families during Spring Break. One popular holiday that is celebrated is St. Patrick's Day. St. Patrick's Day observes of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The holiday has evolved into a celebration of Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, drinks and a whole lot of green. We will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day on campus by wearing green on March 17th.

This Wednesday we will be having our Peter Piper Pizza Family Night at the 67th/Peoria Ave. location and we hope to see you. We will be fundraising to purchase more benches for our students to relax and enjoy their lunch/recess time on school colored benches. Please feel free to invite as many friends or family members that you can.

I hope you have an amazing March! As always, thank you for your continued support this school year.

~Mrs. Fitzsimmons

Club Fun on Campus
Architecture Club

We design different structures and then build them. In the one picture Audrey made a blueprint of her bedroom then she created it. In the full group this afternoon the students are creating the school and then going to build it.
Theater Club

We learn how to act and then put it to the test as we perform a skit. We are working on the skit "Jack and the Beanstalk Rap." We are excited to put it on for the families!
Student Council
We work together to make a community of concerned students who want to make a difference. We help at events, and around the school.
Our book club is expanding. We are up to 10 students. We read in groups and do games to help us expand our cognitive skills.
