Leader Highlight
Krupa Patel, Secretary
Krupa Patel is a 2022 graduate of the University of Michigan where she was the former President of AMWA and Pre-Surgical Club. She completed a degree in neuroscience and is currently taking a gap year before medical school. Krupa has an interest in pursuing orthopedic surgery to specialize in spinal care. One of her biggest platforms is reproductive justice, and she currently serves as the Executive Director of non-profit Lunar Doula Collective, the first and only pregnancy loss doula program in Michigan. She also volunteers as a medical journal editorial assistant, Kesem counselor, and art therapist. In her free time, she writes for her blog, MedMap! Krupa was also awarded the 2022 National AMWA Premed Branch Member of the Year Award.
Fun fact: Krupa enjoys fluid art painting!
