Please join us for our Physician Fertility Summit on June 12, 2021 from 1 to 4:30pm EST to address the fact that as many as 1 in 4 women physicians will experience infertility. This is such an important topic to discuss as we advance in our medical careers. Together, let's convene with experts and national stakeholders, as well as learn more about taking control over our own journeys — so we can have families if and when we choose.

Applicants must be able to commit 5-10 hrs/week for at least 4-6 weeks to perform various tasks that support AMWA's work and initiatives. Open only to National AMWA members.

Begins in May, 20+ hrs/wk (1-2 yr commitment).
Required Skills: Adept in administrative tasks, writing, learning/maintaining software programs, databases and website. Ideal for gap year student not limited by academic schedules or exams. Opportunity for professional growth.

Armenian Heritage Month & Genocide Remembrance |
In honor of Armenian Heritage Month, AMWA highlighted incredible female Armenian physicians last month, who shared inspiring information about their journeys and experiences in medicine with us.
Brief Honoring of the Armenian Genocide:
The American Medical Women’s Association would like to take this opportunity to remember and honor the 1.5 million Armenian lives lost at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in 1915.
During that time, women physicians of the American Women’s Hospital Service (a program of AMWA), including Dr. Mabel Elliott, provided humanitarian relief and medical care to displaced and orphaned Armenians. On behalf of the premedical division, AMWA is remembering and honoring those who lost their lives and standing in support with our Armenian members and Armenians all around the world.

Paint Night (AKA AMWA artistic expression Happy Hour) is an opportunity for sparking your creativity in a social atmosphere.
Bring your supplies, a substrate like paper, canvas, or board, tools like paints and brushes (your AMWA annual meeting paints will work), pencils and pens, or scissors and glue. If you need a paint kit, order here.
If you sew, knit, scrapbook, or write, join us for inspiration or just spend some time with us.
Questions welcome. Don’t forget a snack or beverage and invite friends and colleagues!
