Leader Highlight
Kaylee Travis, President-Elect
Kaylee Travis is a graduate premedical student pursuing her MS in anatomical sciences. She graduated from The Ohio State University in May of 2022 with a BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in General Psychology. She plans to pursue a job in Orthopedic Surgery and sports medicine as it combines her two passions of sports and medicine.
Kaylee was formerly the National Liaison and Co-Service chair of AMWA’s Ohio State branch while in her undergrad. She is currently the Marketing Chair of Mindveristy’s Ohio State branch where she helps advocate for the destigmatization of mental health and promotion of mental health resources for those in the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, a role she has held since 2020. Kaylee is a research assistant at the James Cancer Hospital Solove Research Institute where she helps study geriatric lung cancer. She was also an undergraduate TA for introduction to anatomy. In her free time, Kaylee enjoys volunteering, weight lifting, and watching as much football as humanly possible! This is Kaylee’s fifth year involved with AMWA and third term on the executive board. She is so grateful for all the amazing people and experiences AMWA has given her and is looking forward to continuing to spread AMWA’s mission and possibilities with other pre-medical students! Fun fact: Kaylee has an identical twin sister!
