Virtual Nurses Networking Zone at AIDS 2020
ANAC, International Council of Nurses, Nursing Now and other nursing organizations are hosting a virtual Nurses Networking Zone during AIDS 2020. It will be available on-demand and free-of-charge during conference days with a live chat hosted by ANAC and others July 6-10 from 4-5 p.m. ET each day. We invite you to join and celebrate the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife and share the many contributions nurses have made in the global response to HIV/AIDS. More information and live links will be released next week.

ANAC responds to anti-Black sentiment and the murder of George Floyd
ANAC recently released a
statement in response to the murder of George Floyd and anti-Black sentiment in the U.S. that has led to ongoing protests around the world. We joined with other members of the
Nursing Community Coalition to stand united in the fight against racial inequality and injustice. We call for America to be better and pledge to do all we can to support this important cause.

The Center for HIV Law and Policy (CHLP) released a newly revised publication,
U.S. HIV Laws and Prosecutorial Tools

summarizing the federal and state laws used to prosecute people living with HIV (PLHIV), viral hepatitis and other sexually transmitted diseases.

ANAC and AAHIVM celebrate LGBT Pride Month through All of Us Research Program
ANAC joins with the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM) to celebrate June as LGBT Pride month with an emphasis on our work for full inclusion of LGBT individuals in research through the National Institutes of Health
All of Us Research Program. ANAC and AAHIVM members collaborated on a series of video messages and are creating a virtual Pride parade on Facebook.

nurses and advance practice nurses in the U.S. to complete a survey evaluating the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study is being conducted by researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The survey takes about 15 minutes and is anonymous. Your responses can't be linked back to any identifying information about you.
Partners in Health CEO Sheila Davis shares an opportunity
to join a free course on pandemic preparedness and response, hosted by Partners In Health and the University of Global Health Equity. The course, which includes four 90-minute sessions, starts July 7.

This is a full-time position to lead ANAC educational efforts by developing and expanding educational and other programming services for ANAC members and the wider health care provider community and provide support and collaboration with related ANAC committees, affiliates and activities.
