Looking for something to do over the holidays? Submit an abstract for the International AIDS Conference. Abstracts for the International AIDS Conference close on Jan. 23, 2024. Please consider submitting nurse-led research, programming or policy innovations.

Once again, it looks like nurses are underrepresented in the planned speaker line-up (none). Let's work together to change that! Contact Carole Treston with questions.

Holiday Outreach

We hope you support these great projects this holiday season. Even though the deadline has passed, please support both projects anyway.Trans kids and incarcerated people need support all year!

TransSanta - Check out this Instagram project to deliver small gifts of love and support to trans youth in need, safely and anonymously. Check out their stories and wishes. Donate. Do good.

SERO Project Holiday Card Project - A grassroots project that sends holiday cards to incarcerated people (some with HIV or locked up because of HIV-related charges) across the U.S. For some, receiving cards from the Sero community are the only cards/letters they receive all year round. Last year, the question that was often asked was, “can you write a letter and insert it into the card?” Please feel free to do so. Those receiving the cards look forward to words of encouragement and know that they aren’t forgotten.

Support ANAC

This year, the theme of World AIDS Day, "Let Communities Lead," resonated profoundly with what this community does. Collectively, we impact the lives of those affected by HIV and work to ensure muted voices are heard. As we approach the conclusion of the year, we invite you to participate in our end-of-year giving. To quote Bishop Desmond Tutu, "There comes a point where we need to stop just pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they're falling in." ANAC has thrived at ensuring we equip nurses and healthcare allies to support individuals downstream and advocate for policy efforts that can minimize proverbial falling in upstream. Thank you for your support!
