Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day is recognized annually on Dec. 10, and this year is the 70th anniversary of the day that the U.N. General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In a Lancet viewpoint article , the evolution of human rights in global health over the past 70 years is examined and the momentum towards universal access to treatment that resulted from advocacy surrounding the AIDS pandemic.

New policy from the USPSTF

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) issued a draft recommendation statement for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), with a proposed 'A' grade for "persons at high risk of HIV acquisition." A Grade A recommendation is significant, as it influences full insurance coverage. Register your support for this proposed policy thru  public comment on USPSTF's draft recommendation statement. Comments close on December 26, 2018 at 8 p.m., EST. 

ANAC co-hosts Twitter chat
