As the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care Global Committee, we call for restraint, dialogue and the immediate de-escalation of violence in the Middle East. In times of escalating tensions, innocent civilians often suffer the most. Every life has inherent dignity and equal worth, and no political objective justifies the loss of civilian lives or the destruction of communities. As nurses committed to global health and human rights, we urge all parties to protect civilians, safeguard healthcare workers and facilities and ensure uninterrupted access to essential medicines and services, including HIV care. We call for calm, compassionate leadership and sustained diplomatic engagement. The preservation of every human life must remain our shared global priority. |
