As some of you may know, the Federal Government recently approved The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES)Act which allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn.
This is a provision for small businesses and 501c3 organizations to get payroll support, which will provide potential relief for churches and pastors. A ministry under a covered loan can have all or a portion of the principal of the loan forgiven in an amount equal to payroll costs, mortgage interest, rent, or utility costs during the eight-week period following the origination of the loan.
