What is your congregation most passionate about?

A:   To see the beauty, supremacy and glory of Christ as the chief concern of all people at Cornerstone, in Lebanon, and around the world.
What ministry excites you most?

A:   Cornerstone makes disciples of Christ for the purpose of loving one another, our city, and beyond.
How would you describe your congregation?

A:  Cornerstone is the Bride of Christ and a body of worshippers rooted in sonship. We are an eclectic group from all ages, religious backgrounds, and walks of life. There is much grace and mercy shown for our many differences.
If you were not in your community, what would be missing?

A: We have many people who are deeply involved in the work of our City and if we were not located here we would miss our interaction with homeless shelters, recovering addicts, prison ministry, at risk youth...it would be harder to be the hands and feet of Christ were we in another location.
What are your congregation's five favorite hymns or choruses?

A:  *Revelation Song* Great Are You Lord*Hear Our Praises*Rising Sun* Doxology
What do people say they like best about your church?

A:  Our teaching is amazing. We are always learning to see more and more of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through truly biblical teaching.

Our worship is not theatrical, but a true adoration of our God.
If someone was to ask you to tell them about your congregation's vision for ministry, what would you tell them?

A: I answered this above. Our vision is to see the beauty, supremacy and glory of Christ as the chief concern of all people at Cornerstone, in Lebanon, and around the world.
What mission efforts has your congregation been involved in recently?

A:  We support two indigenous missionaries in the Philippines living among an unreached people group there.

We also support/are involved in several ministries to the City of Lebanon.
Share a Fun Fact about your church:

A: We meet in an old movie theater and still have the marquee outside.
Describe your youth and young adult ministries:

A: Amplify is our Youth Group. They meet weekly, have special activities and have an annual winter retreat and summer camp.

Our in-church, Sunday morning ministry, is Student Transitions for 5th-12th grades with the focus being on helping them transition into the adult body at Cornerstone.
What is the title of a book or video series that your congregation has recently used and would suggest to other congregations/small groups?

A: Most recently it was suggested by one of our pastors that everyone read Dallas Willard's book, Hearing God: Developing a Conversational Relationship with God. We also have a book blog on-line on our website.
What is a favorite or well loved food at your congregational meal events? Is there a special recipe that you can share for this food?

A: Pastor's wife, Courtney Hershey makes phenomenal chocolate chip cookies. The recipe is a secret. :(
What is your congregation's favorite annual event?

A:    The Church Picnic in July, and Christmas Caroling/delivering cookies in the bars of Lebanon on Christmas Eve; Table of Thanks in November and Maundy Thursday before Easter are special times of fellowship. Sorry - couldn't pick one.
In what way has ANE assisted your church?

A: By walking our body through the licensing and ordination process for our pastors. Also general support of our pastoral staff.
