Christian Mission to the Orient

P.O. Box 2363, Joplin, Mo 64803                                                            October 2016

The CMO team is excited to announce
the LEADERSHIP in COMMUNITY Capital Campai gn. This project represents the next phase of developing Christian leaders for church and community in South  East Asia. Phase 1 is complete. Now is the time to begin Phase 2.

This campaign has a goal of raising $800,000 for capital, endowment, and program support for campus development for students enrolled at Lanna Theological Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Why are we launching this campaign
CAPACITY:
We need to increase our capacity to train and equip more leaders for South East Asia.
  • SECURITY: Our women's dorm is located on a different property. This is a safety issue for our students.
                  • COMMUNITY: We need all our facilities located on a single campus to provide a safe environment that will enhance the training of students for LEADERSHIP in  COMMUNITY.
What is being built?
The LEADERSHIP in COMMUNITY campus development will include these new features:
  • Secure housing on a single campus housing up to 40 students and two dorm supervisor families.
  •  Students housed 3-4 to a room in environmentally friendly construction that is energy efficient and easy to maintain.
  •  Will allow us to develop existing buildings into cafeteria and chapel with seating up to 100 people.
How are we going to do this?
Thanks to a generous donation from a contributor who wishes to remain anonymous we already have $25,000 raised toward this goal. We are asking you to help us make this a successful launch by giving a generous offering towards the LEADERSHIP in COMMUNITY campaign. Will you help us by sponsoring one square meter of floor space at $550?

We are also seeking COMMUNITY PARTNERS who will build one dorm room. One dorm room cost $16,000. COMMUNITY PARTNERS may be individuals or groups who
contribute $16,000 or more to build one or more dorm rooms. COMMUNITY PARTNERS will have their name(s) engraved on a recognition plaque in the lobby of the dorm room.

Details on how to contribute to the LEADERSHIP in COMMUNITY Capital Campaign and COMMUNITY PARTNERS can be found at our website
www.cmothailand.net.

Remember, as we approach the end of 2016 that all contributions are tax  deductible.

In closing we want to thank you for your faithful support of this ministry training and equipping church planters who are also community leaders in South East Asia.
