ANNOUNCING OUR 2017 MAINE PAINTING WORKSHOP!

Welcome to Chateau Mer at Sandy Point, Maine!  Take a tour at Chateau Mer Cottage Retreat.  The dates for the workshop are from Friday, September 8 to Friday, September 15, 2017.  We will paint both in plein air and "in-studio" depending on weather.  We will also encourage taking taking many source photos and sketching in the nearby area.  David and Emily will lead daily critique sessions concerning composition and will be available for one-on-one help with technique at any time.

The price is $760 per person including lodging and the workshop fee. A deposit of $400 is required to confirm your reservation.  The final payment of $360 is due by August 1.

We will all be responsible for our own transportation to and from Chateau Mer.  We will assist in working out trip sharing, so we all don't have to drive.  Driving time is around 8 to 9 hours.

Food is not included.  We will have a "basket" that we all pitch in equally for meals eaten on the premises.

We'll also make two day trips, including plein air painting stops, to the  Farnsworth Museum  and  to  Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park , both just over an hour away .   

The workshop will provide an excellent opportunity for improving your painting skills while enjoying a vacation setting with fellow artists!
