Dear Madeline,
When a group of us came together last summer, we did so with the knowledge of our community’s need for an affordable, faith-filled Catholic high school. As parents, we also held the conviction that with prayer and hard work we could build something beautiful for our children. After discovering and learning about the Chesterton Academies, we began seeking a way to launch our mission and start garnering support. We started our journey as The Friends of Chesterton Academy and quickly incorporated as a nonprofit. Our next step was to gain official status as a Chesterton Academy school, which was awarded in January. With this new status, we began the process of deciding our new school name – a name that would reflect the heart of who we are and the spiritual guidance we would need each step of the way as we fulfill our mission.
After much prayer and discernment, our families were led to a name honoring someone who had actually been with us from the beginning of our journey – Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata. One of our team members wrote a beautiful blog post about our new name and how our Lady has already guided us, which you can read here. We believe that Mary has been, and will continue to be, a protector and guide for each of us, the families in our community, and especially the children whom we hope to serve. We ask that you join us in our mission, and add Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata to your prayers, as we move forward with building a school that will glorify God through the guidance of our Patroness, Mary.
In Christ,
Chesterton Academy of the Immaculata
