ANNUAL MEETING
Sunday, January 30, 2022
Members of the First Congregational Church of Mansfield, Ohio, are hereby notified the Annual Meeting of the church will take place on Sunday, January 30, immediately following the 10:30 worship service in Blymyer Hall. Included on the agenda will be the 2021 reports of operations, programs, fiscal activity, the adoption of the 2022 operating budget, the election of officers and committee members and other business which may properly come before the meeting. Coffee and donuts will be served.

In addition, in keeping with our Constitutional Policy that no church property can be sold without the approval of the congregation; the Moderator will entertain the Trustees Motion that "We sell the Marion Avenue parking lot property for not less than $5000".
 
This will be a SPECIAL Sunday you won't want to miss! 
Due to the increase in COVID cases and the on-going construction, the decision has been made to delay the return of coffee hour until the first of February.
Youth Confirmation classes begin this month!
Confirmation classes will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15am in the Mayflower room, starting January 23, 2022. Confirmation is for 8th graders and up. The confirmation meetings are 8 weeks in duration with an additional 2 weeks for makeup/recap meetings due to Spring Break and/or other circumstances. Confirmation will wrap up when confirmands are celebrated during the worship services on Palm Sunday, April 10, 2022. This year’s confirmation topics will include (1) How to read and interpret the Bible, (2) The unique “congregational way” of Congregationalists, and (3) Faithing: rediscovering the Christian Creeds as early Christians interpreted and practiced them.
LAST CHANCE FOR DIRECTORY UPDATES
Later this month we will be printing new church directories. Please take a moment to look at last year’s directory and make sure the information we have is correct. Our hope is to have the new UPDATED directories available at the Annual Meeting on January 30.
CONGO BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP
On Monday, February 21st, at 1 pm, in the Sauter Meeting Room, the Congo Book Discussion Group will be discussing the book, Such A Fun Age, by Kiley Reid. Everyone is invited to join the conversation! A complete list of books the group will be discussing throughout the year is available in the church office.
