As The Flying Lizards told the world in 1979, “the best things in life are free, but you can give them to the birds and beers. I want….BUSES!”

In all seriousness, our community is blown away by the generosity of so many people who donated during yesterday’s Big Give SA. Thanks to these committed parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, we are incredibly close to funding one brand new bus for our students. As of this writing, we have received $98,077. This exceeds last year’s donations by almost $90k! Wow!

It is difficult to put into words how grateful we are for your help, your generosity, and your partnership. We know many of you gave because you want your student to enjoy a new bus to take them to a game, field trip, competition, or retreat. And we also know that many of you gave simply because you believe in our mission and answered the call. Whatever the reason, from the bottom of our Apache hearts, thank you.

If you didn’t have a chance to get in on the action, the Big Give runs until 11:59 pm on Sunday. We would be so appreciative if you would consider helping us close the gap and reach $100,000. That amount has a nice ring to it and $120,000 brings a brand new bus to our campus in a matter of days.

Thank you all again for coming together for such an incredible show of support. We are very grateful and very humbled. It’s a great day to be an Apache.

Sincerely,

Gabriel Duarte

The 2025 Antonian Mini College Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 24. This intimate fair will feature 18–22 colleges and universities available to meet with juniors and seniors during lunch. We encourage you to talk with your child about exploring potential schools and considering future opportunities.

Colleges currently confirmed to attend include:

Texas A&M, Incarnate Word, University of Tulsa, University of Alabama, St. Mary’s, University of Arkansas, UTSA, Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, Trinity, Grand Canyon University, UT–Dallas, Tarleton State, San Antonio College (SAC), Reed College, Texas A&M Engineering Academy, and Purdue University.

Service Opportunity

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Texas invites all ACP students, faculty, and our school community to take part in an exciting event that supports neighbors in need.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to feeding, housing, clothing, and advocating for those in our community. Each year, they provide more than $10 million in assistance to neighbors in need—and they do it with the support of just one major fundraising event: the annual Run for Thy Neighbor 5K Walk & Run!

 When: Saturday, September 27, 2025

 Where: The Greenline at Brooks

This 5K brings together families, schools, and community members for a day of fitness, fun, and compassion. Proceeds from the run will directly support the mission of serving those in need.

Two great ways to get involved:

Volunteer: Students, faculty, and staff can sign up as volunteers (spirit shirts encouraged—there will be media coverage on site!).

 Volunteer sign-up: svdpsa.org/5k-run

Spread the word: For 153 years, SVdP Southwest Texas has served humbly. By sharing this event, you help expand their mission of charity and invite others to walk or run with them.

Let’s show our Apache spirit by supporting this wonderful cause!

Service Opportunity

We have a new service opportunity available for students 16 years of age or older to help at the St. John Berchmans (SJB) CYO concession stands during upcoming game days. This is a great way to earn service hours and support our local community!

Please remember to log in your hours in X2Vol and include a good verification contact information (email) to get your hours verified.

Details: Volunteers will assist in the concession stand (handling money and sales).

Ideally, one volunteer is needed per shift, though you may split a shift with a friend if preferred.

You are not required to arrive early or stay late unless you would like to help with setup/cleanup. Partial shifts are also welcome!

Available Dates & Times:

9/20: 9 AM – 2 PM

9/21: 2 PM – 6 PM

9/28: 2 PM – 5 PM

10/4: 9 AM – 2 PM

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are pleased to inform you that students who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 94 or higher have been notified that they qualify for initial consideration for membership in the National Honor Society (NHS).
