"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness."
—Psalm 29:2

Greetings, Apache families,
If you're looking for action on the BIG pep rally volleyball game on Wednesday, the smart money is on the faculty & staff. True, we were completely demolished by the students in last year’s contest, but I’m hearing whispers we have a ringer, and this really could be our year. Stay tuned.
This coming week Catholic schools across the country celebrate Catholic Schools Week, a recognition of our schools and all the good they have done in shaping children, families, our church, and our communities, for generations. You’ll find our theme days in the newsletter below, but I’ll draw your attention to two very significant events. First, is this week’s school Mass, in which Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller will preside. Given his incredibly busy schedule as the shepherd of our entire Archdiocese, we are extremely excited for this special and rare treat. Second, is the aforementioned volleyball contest between the faculty & staff and students, which is sure to excite. Donations of Icy Hot and bandages will be accepted the next morning.
Finally, as you may know from your parishes, Pope Francis has declared 2025 the Jubilee Year of Hope, a time to renew faith and hope in Christ, and calling all Catholics to be pilgrims of hope. Antonian is honored to be designated as one of San Antonio’s pilgrimage sites, utilizing our Stations of the Cross area at the front of the school. Please consider finding a moment to visit our site, or any of the many sites across the city. You can find more information about the Jubilee pilgrimage sites by clicking the link in this newsletter.
Here’s to a wonderful Catholic Schools week!

Prayer to Begin the Day
(Sign of the Cross)
As we you begin your day, take a moment to thank God for the gifts and talents you possess.
Loving God,
You shaped us in your image and likeness
Giving us the gift of intelligence
And the ability to understand the world around us.
Be with us today as we use those gifts to learn and grow.
May all that we do, be an opportunity to praise You.
Amen.
(Sign of the cross)

Prayer to End the Day
As the days come to a close, take a few moments to pray and reflect on your day.
(Sign of the Cross)
Close your eyes and take a couple deep breaths. Ask the Holy Spirit to be with us as we reflect.
Reflect now silently in your mind, what are 2 or 3 things you’re grateful for today?
Where did you notice God during your day?
What could you have done better? Where do you need God’s help?
Now look toward tomorrow. What are you excited about? What are you nervous about? Share with God what is on your mind.
(Sign of the Cross)
