Season of Advent

Second Sunday of Advent - Sunday, December 8

The second candle on the Advent wreath represents Peace and is also purple.  Often called the “Bethlehem Candle,” this candle reminds us of Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem before Mary gave birth to Jesus.  It also builds on the meaning of the Prophecy Candle (1st. Week of Advent), recalling that after the division, destruction, and dispersion of the kingdom in the Old Testament, there might finally be peace on Earth.

Corynn Gilley Helps Open Playground

Senior Corynn Gilley was honored at the grand opening of Mitchel’s Landing, the first all inclusive public playground in San Antonio, which just celebrated its grand opening on November 30th. “Search your soul for its pearl and bring it out with pride; For a person’s greatest treasure is what is found inside."

Antonian will be participating and each student has received a packet of tickets ($20 value) through their advisory classes. Tickets will be sold through January 24!

Antonian Incentive:

  • The advisory that sells the most tickets gets a Papa John's Pizza and root beer float party.
  • The highest selling student for each grade level will get an off campus lunch with admin.
  • The highest selling grade level will get a free dress day with crocs included.
