2020-2021 Back To School
Planned Start Date
We are scheduled to return to school on August 17th. With respect to the public announcement that schools are to reopen for face-to-face instruction until after September 7th, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a letter stating the local government orders to not apply to religious private schools. We continue to work closely with the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Any new information or plans will be shared with families as soon as possible.
Requested Information Needed
Yesterday, we sent another email with continuing plans for the upcoming school year. To read this email, click here . In this email, we asked for parent feedback to another survey. It would be most helpful to have 100% participation from our families in responding to this new survey regarding the p articipation method you prefer for your child(ren).

  • Survey: School Participation Method 2020-2021 (Deadline: July 31st): This survey asks parents to identify their child(ren) by name, select the grade of the student, and select one of two options for participation in school to start the 2020-2021 school year: hybrid learning or remote learning. If you have already sent an email to Mrs. Montemayor requesting remote learning for your child and she has responded to you with a reply email, you do NOT need to complete this form. The survey is available at the following link: School Participation Method 2020-2021 survey link

  • Hybrid Grouping (Deadline: July 24th): If parents find it necessary to request their child(ren) be placed in the same hybrid grouping as another Antonian student(s) (other than siblings, who will already be placed in the same hybrid grouping) for such things as carpooling, etc., you still have time to make this request. The form for this request is avaialble at the following link: Parent Request for Hybrid Grouping Form.
Important Medical Information Request
Action Plans and Medication Dosing Permission Forms
In order to best serve the medical needs of any of our students with specific medical conditions, Antonian needs to receive medical action plans for those who are diagnosed with  diabetes, anaphylaxis, and/or asthma . It is extremely important that parents remit these forms in the event that the action plan is needed while your child is in the care of Antonian.

Additionally, if a student must take medication when in the care of Antonian, a medication permission form, along with the appropriately labeled medication, must be on file. This is true whether the medication is prescribed or an over the counter product.

Business Office
NEW! Verification of Early and Final Round Awards
The Hope for the Future Office is completing their final round of award selections. Schools will be asked to verify enrollment and tuition balances on Friday, July 24th for all families awarded in the first and final rounds. Please ensure your registration/re-enrollment fees and your 2019-20 tuition account (at your middle schools and/or at Antonian) are paid in full in order to prevent forfeiture of any assistance!    HFF awards (early and final rounds) will be credited to tuition accounts at the end of August, when the awards are released to Antonian for posting.
Antonian Financial Assistance Awards
First round awards from Antonian have been posted to tuition agreements. Our financial assistance selections will resume after July 29th. Families will be notified via email correspondence as awards are granted. Again, your 2019-20 tuition account must be in good financial standing by July 24th to be considered for assistance.
Payment Plan Reminders
Just a friendly reminder that 12 month and 11 month payment plans have been activated. If you selected a payment plan starting in June or July, and payments did not process successfully, the Business Office will automatically convert your plan to a 10 month plan with payments resuming in August. Sorry -- late fees or FACTS return fees will not be refunded.

Prayer Requests
With permission, we will post the prayer intentions in our weekly newsletter so our community can pray for your intentions.
Requestor: Mrs. Adela Segura

Prayer For: Her niece, Christina Rojas, who is an RN in Victoria, TX. She has tested positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic.
In Memoriam
We ask for prayers for our Antonian family and friends who have recently passed and now rest with our Lord.

  • Prayers for Rosenda Rios and her family: She is the mother of alumnus Noah Burns '15. She was loved by many of our families.
  • Prayers for John and Marlene Graham and their family: Marlene was a librarian at Antonian for many years. Her daughter, Julie, and Julie's husband, Randy, passed away in a car accident. Because of COVID-19, there will not be a normal funeral, so if any of you are interested in attending a webcast of the services, it will be live on Friday July 24th at 9:45 am. Here is the link to the obituary where you can also find the link to the broadcast.
  • Prayers for Mr. Louis Lubbering and his family: Mr. Lubbering, a long-time teacher at Incarnate Word High School, passed away last week. We continue to join in prayer with our sister Catholic school.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
