Class Retreat: Juniors
On Friday, September 4th, the juniors will be on campus for their class retreat.

Juniors are to arrive by 8:00 a.m. and be dressed in spirit day attire. We look forward to this special day with our Class of 2022.

A reminder email will be sent to your student's Antonian email account.
Come Gather For Worship
Beginning September 7th, we will host our 7th at 7:00 p.m. This will be a set date and time where we will gather together at 7:00 p.m. in the Antonian Chapel for an hour of worship in Adoration.

Since the 7th falls on a different day every month, this allows everyone an opportunity to join us no matter what your child's schedule may look like.
Please note, this will be a first come first serve opportunity. All Antonian students are invited and encouraged to invite their friends. See you at the Eucharist!
School Policies
Open Period Policy
The Administration would like to clarify/reaffirm a passage in the Student-Parent Handbook, under the header "Student Schedules." The passage reads:

When a student is not scheduled in a course for all the possible eight academic periods, he or she will be scheduled for an open period. To the extent possible, open periods will be scheduled for 1st period or 9th period. In this case, a student with an open 1st period or open 9th period will have the opportunity for flexible scheduling which allows them to arrive to start 2nd period or depart after 8th period. In rare circumstances, a student's open period may be scheduled in a period other than 1st or 9th. In this case, the student is not permitted to leave campus during the open period and must report to an assigned area for attendance reporting.

Initially, as we started back to school, it was communicated that students with a 9th period athletic period not presently in action AND 8th period open should leave campus after 7th period. However, in order to remain consistent with our policy, a student with 8th period open should remain on campus, reporting to the Student Center, until the period is over.
Student Attendance and Doctor's Notes
All questions regarding student attendance and/or doctor's notes for a student absence should be directed to Mrs. Danniella Martinez (dmartinez@antonian.org) in the front office.
Student Services and Activities
Digital Citizenship and
Social Media

We pride ourselves in the partnership with our parents and we are asking for your help. During the in-processing days at the beginning of the school year, we spoke to our students about Digital Citizenship and what their responsibilities are on social media platforms. To that end, we have been notified that a social media account that invites uncharitable comments about students has recently surfaced. We encourage you to speak to your child(ren) about cyber-bullying and ensure that they are not following any account that encourages this type of activity.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Studio Benton Photography

Under normal circumstances, Antonian would arrange an on-campus make-up photo day for students who missed the first opportunity to have their school photos taken. In light of our attendance model during this pandemic, rather than having the photographer return to campus, Ross Benton of Benton Studios will open his studio on an appointment basis. If your child has not yet had his school photo taken, please use the link below to make an appointment. Please know that this is important because the photo is used for the student's ID and for our yearbook. Students should wear a white, red, or blue Antonian uniform shirt for their photo.
Luby's Dining Cards Coming Soon!
  • NEW!! Dining Cards: The new Luby's dining cards are here and will be distributed soon! Our plan is to distribute to students during their Theology classes. On the day your child is on campus for in person instruction, parents will receive an electronic message that your child has been given a card and also provide you with the instructions on how to pre-load the card. Keep an eye out for that starting sometime next week!!!

2020-2021 Financial Assistance
  • NEW!! Tuition Assistance: The Antonian tuition assistance committee will meet in September to review families that have a calculated need and may not have already been assisted. This assistance will be based on any Hope for the Future declined funds available to Antonian at that time. Please know that the Committee prayerfully considers every application (over 165) with the goal of helping as many families as possible with a calculated financial need. If you have experienced a financial hardship, please work directly with our Business Office staff.

2020-2021 Additional Charges Added
  • Dual Credit and AP Exam Charges: For those students taking dual credit and AP courses, charges have been added to your tuition account. Charges were divided equally by the number of months remaining on your tuition plan. Charges can always be paid in full, by logging into your FACTS tuition agreement or by visiting our Business Office.

  • NEW!! Money Matters & Springboard Book Fees: For those students taking the Money Matters and/or any English course utilizing the Springboard book, charges for these books have been added to your tuition account. Charges were divided equally by the number of months remaining on your tuition plan. Charges can always be paid in full, by logging into your FACTS tuition agreement or by visiting our Business Office.

2020-2021 Tuition Past Due Balances
  • NEW!! Past Due Balances and Missed Payments:  Tuition is due on the 5th of every month, unless other arrangements have been made. Past due balances and missed payments have an impact on the cash resources used to meet our financial obligations. It is Antonian's policy that a past due balance can not be carried more than 60 days and missed or unsuccessful payments are subject to late or return fees that can not be waived, so please plan accordingly. Again, if you have experienced or are experiencing a financial hardship please work directly with our Business Office staff as soon as possible.
Parent/Student Acknowledgement Forms

As a final reminder, all Parent/Student Acknowledgement Forms will need to be signed and remitted electronically.

  • Parent/Student Handbook Acknowledgement Form
  • Acknowledgement Form Regarding COVID-19
  • Student Health Form (members of the Class of 2024 have already completed this form)

If you have not done so already, please take a moment to complete these forms.
Continued Education: Google Suite

Students have expressed interest in some additional support in learning and navigating the different Google functions available to them.

We'd like to set up some tutorial sessions in small groups, so if your child is interested in this, please click on the link below and select the appropriate areas of interest.
Meet The Teachers
"Meet The Teachers" is an annual event we look forward to each year as it is one of the most well-attended community events. The importance of this to be in partnership with our parents is more crucial than ever. Unfortunately, we won't be able to host this as a live event, but we are committed to presenting the information in a virtual format. More information will be sent in the coming week.
Meet The Counselors
The Counseling Department will be hosting the "Meet the Counselors Night" for the Class of 2024 on Monday, September 14th.

Due to physical distancing requirements, we are asking that only one parent for each student attend. This event will also be live streamed.

This event will be held in our auditorium and parents are to sit in a seat that is marked with a red tag.
End Zone Camera Required
Due to recent regulations imposed by TAPPS, Antonian is required to have an End Zone camera. This camera will meet the needs of the Antonian athletics program. If you feel inspired to donate to this cause, please click the button below.

Thank You, Antonian Community!

A big thank you to our community for coming out and supporting our Back-to-School donation drive. Because of your help and kindness, we were able to help many other families in need. Saturday was a reminder once again of the special community that Antonian is.
Thank You, Sewing Club

The Sewing Club, moderated by Ms. Mason Finch and led by Mackenzie Tijerina, made their first donation drop over the weekend.

The Club donated hand-sewn blankets and masks to University Methodist Hospital and the staff was grateful for these hand made goods.

Thank you to the members for your selfless act of love.
Faculty Spotlight: Mrs. Adela Segura
Dean of Students
Mrs. Segura
Last Friday, we inducted our senior class into their roles as leaders of our community and as the saying goes "it takes a village."

One member who is part of that special village is Dean of Students, Mrs. Adela Segura. The role of Dean of Students is pivotal in students’ lives. Her role helps shape and address issues of concern for students and families, alike.

For her, the relationship with our students is automatic, as she is often one of the first administrators that comes into contact with our students.

A former math teacher for over 20 years, Mrs. Segura has not only committed herself to Catholic education, but she has also raised four children who graduated from Antonian.

With every class that graduates, Mrs. Segura takes a piece of that with her into the following year. Her faith is what pushes her to continue to gently guide our students. We are so happy she has continued her mission with us at Antonian.
