December 1st College Deadlines Coming Soon!
Parents,
This is a reminder that the final deadline for many high-profile universities, such as Texas A&M, University of Texas, and SMU, among others, to receive admission documents is December 1st.

Antonian is closed for Thanksgiving break (November 22nd - November 28th), the week before the deadline. The last day students can request materials from the Antonian Counseling Department and be guaranteed on-time delivery will be Wednesday, November 18th.

Some schools do not accept electronic submissions and will require we send materials through the U.S. Postal Service. This will add days to the actual receipt date and may result in missed admission deadlines.

Please encourage your student to submit their requests through their Naviance account by November 18th.
If you know of any families or friends who may want to attend, please share the RSVP link.

High School Placement Test:
Testing at your child's middle school:
Area Catholic grade schools in the Archdiocese of San Antonio will administer the High School Placement Test (HSPT) during the school day on December 11 on their own campuses. This test is for 8th grade students only. Advanced registration to take the HSPT is strongly encouraged. During COVID-19, protocols have been to limit large gatherings, if at all possible. This is a reasonable solution for your student to test in very safe and familiar surroundings. If your student is unable to attend the Catholic grade school testing date on December 11, please register for a high school testing session on December 12. Registration for each test date will close at 11:59 p.m. (CST) on the close dates listed below. To register after the deadline, please call the Admissions Office of your preferred testing site.

2020-2021 Financial Assistance

  • Tuition Assistance:  The Hope for the Future office will finalize FINAL round awards on November 6th. In addition, Antonian's tuition assistance committee will postpone its meeting to November to ensure families with a calculated financial need that have not already been assisted are reviewed. Please know that the Committee prayerfully considers every application with the goal of helping as many families as possible with a calculated financial need.

It's A Great Day To Be An Apache
Congratulations to Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams!
On November 2nd, the Apache boys and girls cross country teams headed up north to Hewitt, TX to compete in the 2020 TAPPS state cross country championships. The Apaches clinched two state titles for both the boys and girls team. We congratulate these athletes on a job well done and for representing Antonian with pride!

We also recognize the 6A boys first-place finisher, David "Aidan" Gomez and the 6A girls first-place finisher, Alyssa Menendez!
Faculty Spotlight: Coach Develyn Lovell
With a lightening quick smile that fills the room and determination that can last miles, Coach Devlyn Lovell has built a successful athletic program.

Under his direction, the Antonian cross country program has not only collected many state titles (20 to date), but has also taught athletes to not only excel on the field, but off the field as well, stressing the importance of academic success.

Over the summer, Coach Lovell and his staff began working with our students, and led with the motto "God, Team, Me." Their work paid off as they brought home two state titles this week.

We are proud of the program that our cross country coaching staff has built, but more so the lessons that Coach Lovell and his team have built within our students.

Thank you Coach and congratulations Apaches - we are proud of you all!
