MESSAGE FROM ANTONIAN ADMINISTRATION
|
We remain in prayer for our students and thank you for your continued partnership as we approach our final few weeks.
Here are a few things we would like to share with you.
- In order to facilitate teacher communication with parents, Antonian has acquired Google Voice licenses for its faculty. Therefore, you may start to receive phone calls from our faculty using San Antonio area code numbers with the following prefixes:
210-960-xxxx 210-728-xxxx 210-971-xxxx
If you receive a call from one of these numbers, please do direct your attention to it so that teachers can communicate with you about your child if there is a need.
- Click here to view the Antonian Business Directory (of Antonian family-owned businesses). Please note new submissions will be posted every Friday. Support our community. Shop local, shop Antonian!

By now, we would have typically posted our year-at-a-glance calendar for the 2020-2021 that announces the first day of school, school holidays, and early dismissals. As you might imagine, planning for this has been a little more complicated. We have submitted our proposed calendar to the Archdiocese and are awaiting approval. For now, we want to let you know that the intended first day of school will be on Monday, August 17, 2020.

Our uniform provider Flynn O'Hara has provided us with some important information regarding its plan for the purchase of uniforms. You can click here to read the plans for Summer 2020 and click the flyer below to sign up to receive their newsletters directly.
|
Each year, we host an honors convocation to recognize outstanding achievement of our students. Due to the circumstances, we are not able to host a live event; however, we are preparing a slide presentation for each grade level. These will be emailed to our community within the next two weeks.
Our hope is that you will help us honor these students either by a note of encouragement via email, a Facebook post share, or phone call. We are always proud of our Apaches and their hard work!
|
We know that our juniors are feeling some of the disappointment in not being able to celebrate the annual Ring Mass and Ceremony this spring. We want you to know that we are scheduling this occasion to take place at the beginning of the next school year, in order to be able to recognize you as the seniors of the class of 2021. As a result, if you need or want to order a ring for your student, you still have time to order from Herff Jones or purchase independently.

Families Helping Families
We are so grateful to those who have already donated to our Families Helping Families campaign! If you are inspired and in a position to donate, we kindly ask for your support (
please click here to donate)
. The funds raised go toward tuition assistance for those families impacted by COVID-19.
Below are quotes from thank you letters from those who have received assistance due to your kindness.

In light of the challenges of administering a secure, cumulative semester exam that is authentic in nature and given the extraordinary circumstances in which students have had to learn over the fourth quarter, all students will be exempted from semester exams.
If a teacher has already provided instruction on a comprehensive project that was to be accounted for as a semester exam, the teacher has the discretion to convert this to a regular assignment.
Please be sure your child understands your teachers' intentions. Please understand that teachers will continue to require work through the last days of instruction and these grades will be instrumental in determining your child's final grade for the course--in other words, don't stop working yet.

NEW!! Deadline to accept Hope for the Future Early Round Awards is approaching!:
Deadline to accept early round Hope for the Future awards is this Friday, May 22nd. If you were awarded in the early round, and have yet to accept your award, please do so quickly. Failure to accept the award will cause reallocation of those funds for the next round of award selections! Antonian's Business Office personnel will make a courtesy call to remind you, as we can not do this for you. Your tuition account for 2019-2020 must also be in good financial standing in order for the Hope for the Future Office to remit the award to us for posting to your account. Awards will be posted to your tuition account in August.
Hope for the Future will conduct their final round selections in July. If you were not selected in the early round, it does NOT mean that your application was denied. Your application will remain active for consideration in the final round. Please review the status of your application in FACTS to ensure it is complete and all required documents have been received and verified.
Antonian's financial assistance selections will begin later this month and into the months of June and July. Families will be notified via email correspondence as well.
