Parents,
As we navigate these last few months of school, we hope that you and your family continue to stay safe. There is no doubt we are not completely "out of the woods" with the COVID pandemic; therefore, we encourage everyone to continue to wear their face masks/coverings and adhere to the proper social distancing guidelines.
As always, prayers for you and yours.
Blessings,
Mason Finch

Increase In COVID Cases
There are some points that we need to make regarding the increase in COVID cases we have seen at Antonian in the last ten days.
-
The first point is that many of those who are reporting positive results initially believed that their symptoms were related to seasonal allergies due to pollens in the air. It is true that this is the typical time of spring allergy issues. However, for the health and safety of our community, please err on the side of caution and keep your child at home even if he or she is only suffering the very simplest of symptoms. If you aren't already doing a quick "pulse check" with your child in the morning before they leave for school, it is a good idea to implement one by simply asking, "How are you REALLY feeling this morning?"
- Second, many parents have written to say that, in spite of 4th quarter attendance preferences in place, they are holding their children home temporarily because of the spike that is occurring. Please know that we understand this, but expect this to be just that -- temporary. When we see that cases have subsided, we will return to the expectation that students should abide by the attendance preferences selected by their parents.
-
Lastly, and this is likely the most important point, it appears that many of the cases that have been reported can initially be traced back to activities that occurred during spring break, during which it can be seen all over social media that many of our students traveled and/or gathered together, very often without masks. For this reason, we must continue to advise families that it is far more what students do outside the academic day than what occurs in the classrooms that affects our ability to fully return to normal operations. We understand that students have grown weary -- we experience this when we have to remind them to socially distance in school and keep their masks on. Nonetheless, students should continue to wear masks, practice good health hygiene, and socially distance themselves as much as possible. This is so vital, especially as the 4 1/2 day Easter break is around the corner. We ask for the cooperation of all families so that we do not see a spike when we return to school on Tuesday, April 6th.

Now Accepting Applications for Transfer Students
Admissions for the 2021-2022 school year are ramping up! Transfer applications for new students are now open!
If you know someone who is considering making a change for the 2021-2022 school year and would like to apply to Antonian, please share the following information below.
|
|
Re-Enrollment
In keeping with this, we assume that all students are re-enrolling unless a parent/guardian informs us in writing that their child is not returning by Friday, April 9, 2021. Given this, all family FACTS tuition accounts will be charged a $400 re-enrollment fee (per student) on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Please note this re-enrollment fee is non-refundable.
Antonian maintains detailed student and family records based on the information you have provided to us on previous enrollment forms. This information will carry forward to the next school year. Should you need to update any student record information including parent contact information or emergency contact information at any time throughout the year, please use the "Parent/Guardian Contact Form" that is located on our website (under the tab "Current Families").

NEW! Luby's Dining Card Reminders
- When loading or reloading funds onto Luby's dining cards, please double-check that the 16-digit card number (do not include the three digits to the far right side of the card) is entered in its entirety and correctly. This will help expedite the availability of funds which can take up to 48 business hours (not including weekends and holidays). Loading or reloading the card on-site with the Luby's staff allows for funds to be available immediately...just a little tidbit!

2021-2022 Grant and Aid Application Is Now Open - Apply Today!
- Applications are coming in for families that would like to be considered for financial assistance. There is not a set income qualifier, but rather applications are reviewed using a calculated formula to determine financial need. Our Financial Assistance Committee will be taking a different approach when it comes to our awards review status, and we encourage you to apply early!
- If you would like to be considered for financial assistance for the 2021-2022 academic year, please complete the FACTS Grant & Aid application online. Both Hope for the Future and Antonian use the same application, so no need to apply multiple times! Please keep in mind that only completed applications will be reviewed. Use the following information to assist you.

2020-2021 Tuition Past Due Balances

Past Due Balances and Missed Payments for SENIORS: In order to clear seniors for graduation, school policy requires all financial obligations on campus to be paid in full by May 14th. Exceptions are not made to this policy, so we kindly ask that you plan accordingly to ensure your senior is cleared to receive his/her graduation cap and gown.
-
Past Due Balances and Missed Payments: Tuition is due on the 5th of every month unless other arrangements have been made. Past due balances and missed payments have an impact on the cash resources used to meet our financial obligations. It is Antonian's policy that a past due balance cannot be carried more than 60 days and missed or unsuccessful payments are subject to late or return fees that can not be waived, so please plan accordingly. Again, if you have experienced or are experiencing financial hardship, please work directly with our Business Office staff as soon as possible.

Faculty Highlight: Maggie Hernandez
|
|
|
With over 29 years of experience, Mrs. Hernandez has not met a book she did not like.
From her management of our library at the Antonian Pettit Center, Mrs. Hernandez has built a system that welcomes all students, teachers, and classrooms.
Her commitment to education has led her to establish new ideas and processes to include the Thrively program. She is often found sharing new information with our community and welcoming our students' passions by directing them to our library catalog.
We thank Mrs. Hernandez for her continuous efforts to improving our community through good books, a friendly smile, and a passion for knowledge.
