Planning Your Week

In order to help plan your child's week, we have included our uniform and school schedule.  Most recurring schedules are available on the Antonian website under the tab "Current Families." 

Below is a schedule for the school week:

Please note the importance of arrival time for each day this week. On Wednesday and Friday, the arrival times apply to all students regardless of whether they have an open first period. 

*On the first day of school, all students will need to arrive by 7:55 a.m. to begin our opening day assembly at 8:00 a.m.

**On the second day of school, 10th-12th graders may follow their schedules (arrive by 2nd if they have open 1st), but freshman will once again need to arrive by 7:55 a.m. to report to the Auditorium for instructions about their day, regardless of whether they have open first.

***On the third day of school, all students will need to arrive by 7:55 a.m. to begin our day in the Auditorium as we will have a special agenda for the day.

Student schedules are now live on TxConnect. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors can use their existing credentials to login and view their 2019-2020 schedules. Freshmen and transfer students will be provided their schedules at the upcoming orientations.
How To Request Changes

The academic counselors established designated dates and times for students in each grade level prior to the start of school to make any changes. Students who were unable to come during their assigned time may request a schedule change the afternoon of  August 14th, from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Students will pick up their 2018-2019 yearbooks on the first day of school after taking their school photos.

The single page 2019-2020 "at-a-glance" school calendar has temporarily been removed pending a correction to the date of the October PSAT/School Day SAT date. We hope to have the corrected version posted within a week.

Parking Permit Sales 

The cost to obtain a parking permit is  $50 for the 2019-2020 school year. To obtain your parking permit simply click on this link. All purchases will be processed through Active.  Please note, you do not need to sign up for booking protect or the active advantage program, these are optional promotions that have no affiliation with Antonian. If you'd like to pay in the Business Office, please print the document available at the link above.

In general, to purchase an Antonian student parking permit, the student must be the holder of a valid driver's license (not a permit) and must present proof of insurance for any vehicle which the student may drive to campus.  
Important Information

Freshmen and transfer students will be provided locks with their locker assignments during their respective orientations on August 9th and August 12th. Returning students were permitted to keep their locks over the summer and will use them again this school year.  

If a student has lost his or her lock, a replacement will need to be purchased for $5 through the school office. Only Antonian issued locks are permitted to be used on Antonian lockers. 

If a student has forgotten his or her lock combination, he or she may obtain the lock or the combination from the school office staff.

First day of school expectations will be discussed.
School uniform questions will be clarified.
Student schedules will be distributed.
Lockers assignments will be distributed.
Students will tour the campus.
Student grade portal IDs will be distributed.
Poblanos catering will be available from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. to activate optional Apache Dining debit cards.
The Apache Trading Post will be open from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for Antonian apparel and novelty item purchases.
Wednesday, August 14th 

The first day of school is one of in-processing activities. Students will not attend regular classes. We continue to use our schedule that allows for flexible arrival and departure for students with open 1st or 9th period. However, for the first day of school on August 14th, all students will need to arrive prior to the first bell at 7:55 a.m. so that we can hold our annual opening assembly. The building will open at 7:00 a.m. as it does every day of the school year.
Students need not bring anything with them for the first day of school, but may bring a phone to contact parents regarding rolling dismissal times which we anticipate as follows: seniors at approximately 11:00 a.m., juniors at approximately 11:20 a.m., sophomores at approximately 11:40 a.m., and freshmen at approximately 12:00 p.m. No lunch service is provided on the first day, but will begin on Thursday, August 15, 2019.
Students need NOT wear the formal day (Mass) uniform on the first day of school.  Any combination of the regular day uniform options will be acceptable. Students should meet appropriate grooming standards or their photo may not be taken that day (make-up photo opportunity will take place in September). Photos will be taken for use in producing student IDs on this day. These photos will also be used for the yearbook for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
The Castle Hills Police Department will help direct traffic for the first couple of days of school. This will help keep things moving until everyone gets into a rhythm. Parents who must drop off students may do so in front of the main academic building or on the side near the gym entrance. If dropping off near the gym, please be aware that this is a student parking lot. Parents are asked NOT to park in the parking lot in front of the academic building as this is reserved for employee parking only. If dropping off or picking up a student from the front porch, please only use the drive-thru lane.
Wednesday, August 28th 

Mark your calendars for the always popular annual Meet the Teachers event on Wednesday, August 28th beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

The evening will begin with a brief gathering in the auditorium and will transition to a schedule rotation to allow parents to meet their child's teachers.

Students are required to complete summer reading. Please see the information on our website at the following link below.

All students are expected to have read the novel in preparation to engage with the book in their classes starting on Monday, August 19, 2019. 

Students are expected to bring their books that day.
2019-2020 Financial Assistance

August 26th - All (first and final rounds) Hope for the Future awards will be released to Antonian for posting into FACTS.  If payment modifications need to be made pending the release of this award, please contact our  office.

Incoming Freshman Information:
If your child earned the honors of Valedictorian or Salutatorian, please present evidence of the award to our Director of Admissions, Lisa Rosenfeld. All other Middle School scholarships awarded should be directed to our Business Office. Once we receive external scholarship awards it will be posted to your tuition account accordingly. 
Poblanos Restaurant and Catering, under the direction of Eric Valadez '96 and Hector Valadez '99, is our official food service company. Student hot plate lunches are $6.00 and several a la carte items are available. Breakfast items and the after-school express store are offered Wednesday through Friday. Cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and prepaid Apache Dining cards are all accepted. 

The Apache Dining cards are available for purchase in the cafeteria Wednesday-Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. and Monday-Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. In advance of the first full day of school, Apache Dining cards can be purchased/reloaded as follows:  
  • Friday, August 9, 2019 I 4:00 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. (freshmen students only)
  • Monday, August 12, 2019 I 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (transfer students only)

Students are responsible for the purchase of their own textbooks.  If a textbook is noted as "required," it is imperative that the student acquire the book and bring it as directed by the teacher.  Information regarding textbooks is available on the Antonian website under the link for "Current Families."  See the "MBS Direct" link Students should NOT bring their t extbooks on August 14th.  Instead, please have them bring their textbooks on August 15th.
Freshman will be advised of their needed school supplies at their orientation on August 9th.  All other students will be advised of their needed school supplies on the second day of school, when they attend all their classes for the first time.
As we start the school year, we know everyone is excited to get their Antonian spirit apparel. For your shopping convenience, the Apache Trading Post will be open as follows:

Please be sure to reference the dress code information sent electronically earlier this summer. This information can be found on the website at the following:   School Dress Code Information.  Flynn O'Hara Uniforms is the official provider of Antonian uniforms.
Antonian has an inventory of gently-used uniform pieces that were not sold at the resale earlier this summer. If you are in need of some pieces to complete your child's wardrobe, please stop by during school office hours to purchase what you may need.
Students who are enrolled in general PE will receive two sets of PE uniforms (two shirts, two shorts). Uniforms will be distributed by the PE coaches shortly after the start of the school year. Students need not worry about dressing out until the coaches have provided further direction. Coaches with athletic periods during the school day will provide information about uniforms and attire required for their classes via team parent meetings.
To participate in Antonian athletics, each student-athlete is required to have a physical completed once every year and submitted to the athletic trainer before participation in any athletic programs, which also includes band, cheer, and dance. Participation includes any practice or tryouts, before, during or after school, both in-season and out-of-season.
Please note that there is now a required student health form required of all students and there are also other medical forms that may pertain to your child including:
  • a medication permission form if student must take medication during school;
  • a food allergy action plan form if your child has a food allergy;
  • an asthma action plan form if your child has asthma; or
  • a diabetic care plan form if your child has diabetes.
