ANCHORAGE—The Alaska Native Village Corporation Association voted September 13, 2022 to endorse Representative Mary Peltola for the United States House of Representatives in the upcoming November election. The decision was made during a special board meeting of the 9-member ANVCA Board. 

“Mary Peltola's historic win as the first Alaska Native to be elected to Congress is significant on its own, but our endorsement comes from more than just this datapoint” said ANVCA Board Chair Nathan McCowan.

“Representative Peltola is a proven leader and civil servant that has successfully advocated for rural Alaska and Alaska Native people throughout her diverse career. We are confident that Peltola can and will represent ALL of Alaska in a balanced and meaningful way."
