This position will combine marketing and social media management skills to architect and enhance organization social media presences, including interacting with customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content, and expanding opportunities for revenue. Works with social media committee members to create innovative social media campaigns and marketing initiatives. This would be the first school in the power five Division I conferences to cut its swim team since the COVID-19 pandemic began as East Carolina, Connecticut, Boise State and Dartmouth out of the mid-majors made similar announcements. Detroit Firefighter Dies Trying to Save Girls From Drowning

The body of a Detroit firefighter was recovered from the Detroit River on Saturday, a day after he dived into the water to save three young girls from drowning, the authorities said.
Sgt. Sivad Johnson, 49, a 26-year veteran of the Detroit Fire Department, was visiting Belle Isle, a 982-acre island park in the Detroit River, with his 10-year-old daughter, Hayden, on Friday evening when he heard witnesses say three young girls were drowning, said Eric Jones, the Detroit fire commissioner. How Swimming Lessons Save Lives in Vietnam

In a mountain town in northern Vietnam, Food for the Hungry (FH) is helping children get to school safely — with swimming lessons. Hung is a 12-year-old boy from a community in Thai Nguyen province. He’s one of many students for whom the walk to school during the rainy season can be deadly. Floodwaters roll down the mountains and fill streams that crisscross the walking paths.
