The Story is Mine

Using Wordless Books with Young Children

Join our two-part virtual series on Monday, Nov. 6 and Monday, Nov. 13, where we'll explore the versatile uses of wordless books to boost children's literacy skills — from vocabulary and sequencing to storytelling and visual language comprehension. We'll dive into the artwork within these books, sharpen our storytelling skills and learn how to support young children in their own storytelling.

This series, inspired by the teachings of the late early childhood educator Sandy Malmquist, will be held in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish. Spaces are limited!

Participants must be able to attend both sessions and will receive a certificate for three hours of professional development upon completion.

Take Action

Tell Congress

Save Child Care Now!

The Biden administration has called on Congress for $16 billion in child-care funding to sustain early care and education, following the expiration of pandemic relief funding on September 30. We want to thank our family of educators for sharing your stories on pandemic relief dollars -- your voices have made a difference! There is still time to help urge Congress to back the Biden administration's request!

Survey

Help Improve Our Services

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with 60 Decibels, a social impact and customer intelligence company, to conduct phone surveys with educators who use our services. You may receive a call from a representative from the 60 Decibels team any time in November.

While this survey is voluntary, we would value your feedback as it will help us identify opportunities to improve our services.
